I'M LOOKING FOR A GERMAN TRANSLATOR, IF INTERESTED, EMAIL ME

Poland born Anna Hodowaniec proved to be an unexpected surprise, shocking everyone with her fantastic "Listen" cover. The auditions keep getting better and the talent is still there, if they don't screw up during bootcamp and send the good contestants home, this can finally be the year we find an amazing winner ... It's time to face the music!

Recap and videos after the JUMP ...

Since I wasn't able to watch the actual episode, I've no idea about the order, so the contestants are posted in the order I watched them.

Sascha Miskovic (36) - He's singing Lana Del Rey's "Video Games", which is a weird choice for a guy. The judges seem to agree cause they all do some weird facial expressions. To their surprise, Sascha sounds really good, if not a little bit feminine, though that may be the song's fault. He really hit his stride towards the end, specially with the arrangements he made to the melody.  Sascha's tone is rather soothing, it reminded me to Brandon Flowers for some reason, what I do know is that it didn't match his gothy look at all. 4 Xs and of to bootcamp! - VIDEO

Alexandra Plattner (22) - Her initial song choice is "Amazing Grace", the judges don't like it and ask for a different song, so Alexandra picks "Make You Feel My Love". She may not be the greatest singer but she had some seriously nice moments. Her voice got really jazzy at times though it was mostly driven towards pop music, which were the shaky moments of the performance. She needs to decide on a style and I'd suggest jazz, cause she sounded much better. After getting only 2 Xs, Sandra decides to give Alexandra her one "Joker" and though she wasn't that good, she definitely deserved another chance. - VIDEO

YeoMan (Groups and Bands) - They are an acapella band who barely sing. I'm sorry but I really didn't like that. They weren't singing, they were shouting. I was expecting something like Pentatonix but this has nothing to do with them. Yeah, they were entertaining but this is a singing competition. I also found it a little disturbing, maybe because they were not only singing in German but also shouting at me. And let's face it, German isn't the most melodic language. - VIDEO

Alberto Bellido Marquez (24) - He comes from Spain but unlike Anna, he can speak German. He says he's quite popular on the Internet, with many fans in his country, Israel and Mexico. When an audition starts like this, it's usually not a good sign. Alberto's song choice surprises the judges, "You Lost Me" by Christina Aguilera. Honestly, the performance wasn't that bad overall. It did have several awful moments, and some very funny too, like that final note in falsetto, but to me, he sounded better than some acts they've put through. He had an interesting tone at least, the start was also good, but when he hit the first big note, it started sounding awful, plus he was quite robotic and had too much vibrato. - VIDEO

Pao und Chiara (Groups and Bands) - Apparently they met through YouTube, that's what I heard at least. They are singing "Sweet Dreams" and despite being a duo, they don't sound like one. Their voices are too disjointed and they can barely sing together. Pao's voice is really weak too. However, Chiara's phenomenal. She's definitely one of the best girls we've seen. They better break this group up cause it's not working at all. And that's exactly what they do. Glad they made that decision cause Chiara could be a contender. - VIDEO

Blen Baheru (16) - Her song is "Bound To You" and for a 16 y/o, she did a remarkable work with it. She didn't hit all the notes but the performance was really beautiful and subtle. It wasn't perfect, that's right, but she's got plenty of time to improve, the question is if she'll be able to do it in just a few months, which I guess that's why the judges initially disagree on her. While Sandra and Sarah want her through, Moses and HP aren't sold on her. Moses ends up giving her an X and Blen is finally through! - VIDEO

Christian Wittwer (24) - He's singing his original song "Every Time". It's start isn't really surprising, nor is his voice, but the song gains some momentum as it gets to the chorus. Christian isn't a good singer though, he could be a good songwriter but his singing abilities aren't as promising. He ends up getting 4 Xs though, mainly because the rap-y final part of the song was actually really cool. - VIDEO

Die Mayers (Groups and Bands) - This is a family band. Isabella is the lead singer and her dad Gerhard and Gerold Gauger join her on the guitar and violin respectively. Their song is "Dante's Prayer"by Loreena McKennitt, a song the audience is probably not familiar with. They're incredibly folksy, which I love, and their song choice is really interesting. I've never seen someone audition with this song before. Isabella's voice is incredible, very captivating and warm. One of my favourite bands up to now.  - VIDEO

Emily Fröhling (16) - She says she's in a band, which mainly sing soul music. She tells the judges she's singing Etta James's "Something Gotta Hold On Me" to which Sarah screams in approval. Definitely one of the best performances of the series. She's got a great voice, extremely soulful for someone so young, no wonder she sings in a soul band. She reminded me to a younger Joss Stone, specially during the chorus. Surprisingly, Sandra, who earlier gave her "Joker" to Alexandra Plattner, is the only judge not to give her an X, despite Emily being much better than Alexandra. - VIDEO

Willy Hubbard (31) - He's an American Army soldier who's been stationed in Germany since 2005. His dream is too leave the Army and become a singer. He's got a tattoo which reads "Devil" and "Angel" in his arm, depending on the way it's read. He's got one of those RnB voices so popular in American shows but not so common in Europe. He sounds like Javier Colon or Jermaine Paul, if you want to picture someone.  - VIDEO
