We are down to three after Restless Road was put to an end last week. While the boys promise to stick together, I just can't see it happening. It's the last opportunity for the Top 3 to impress the audience and win that 1 million recording contract. Will it be 90s rocker Jeff Gutt? Latino heartthrob Carlito Olivero? Or folk lovebirds Alex & Sierra? ... It's time to face the music!

In yet another shock result last week, fan favourite Ellona Santiago got the boot, not even being able to sing for her life. Said sing-off was between Carlito Olivero and Rion Paige, resulting in Demi's final act being eliminated. Only four remain but only three can make it to the final. Who'll it be? .. We didn't only say goodbye to Lillie McCloud last week but also to the awesome Josh Levi, again. This time, the remaining 6 contestants will be performing twice, a Diva hit and an Unplugged performance, just them and a microphone, nothing to hide behind. Who'll make it to next week's semi-final? ... It's time to face the music!

After Tim Olstad and Khaya Cohen (!!!) were sent home last week, only 8 remain in the hopes of winning a recording contract, with their debut album probably never seeing the light of day. Tonight, they'll face Big Band Night were they'll have to perform with a live 25 piece band. Are they up to the challenge? ... It's time to face the music!

3! acts were sent home last week, Carlos Guevara, Sweet Suspense (!) and Rachel Potter (!!!!!). Despite several mediocre acts remain, it only takes one true star. Tonight, it's a British Invasion on the XF as the final 10 take on songs from Simon's homeland. As he puts it, "It's a celebration of me" ... It's time to face the music!

A voting glitch occurred last week, meaning that our Top 13 remains intact. Last week they performed two songs each in the hopes to making it into the Top 12. Unfortunately, one of them will be going home at the start of the show, without being able to sing the song prepared. The theme this time is 80s Night, in yet another attempt to make this show flop even harder, and then, two more acts will head home. Whose dream will be crushed? .. It's time to face the music!

Last week, Josh Levi, Danie Geimer, James Kenney and RoXxy Montana were sent home by their mentors. 12 acts have advanced to the voting rounds and tonight, said acts will take on Motown, a questionable theme for a show that's flopping so bad. On top of the 'exciting' theme, Simon is bringing back one of the 4 eliminated acts, ala Diamond White of S2. Who'll be the lucky one? .. It's time to face the music!

As you might have guessed, Chris isn't going to recap the show anymore. So you're stuck with me for the rest of the season. Thankfully, I've been following the show this year, so there was no catching up for me to do. This year the judging panel includes returnees Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato and newbies Kelly Rowland, former XF UK judge and Paulina Rubio, Latina singer, as famous in Latin America as she is in the US. With the show pulling lower ratings each passing week, it's starting to seem this will be the final season. 16 acts have made it to the liveshows but by the end of the night, only 12 will remain, the judges deciding which of their acts to keep. Will the talent impress this year? ... It's time to face the music!

Another week, another round of contestants both good and bad. So far the ones who've been good have been really good in my opinion though, and we could well be on our way to a very strong season. Let's hope that Simon, Demi, Kelly and Paulina can continue the trend with tonight's show. ... It's time to face the music!

After a strong season saw Tate Steven's win over Carly Rose Sonenclar and Fifth Harmony (Yeah I'm not really sure how that one came about either) to win the 2012 US X Factor, the show now returns to us, hopefully stronger than ever. LA Reid and Britney Spears have left the panel and been replaced by Latina pop princess Paulina Rubio and ex-Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland. They join Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato in the search for America's next big popstar. ...

Cece Frey and Diamond White got the chop last week, with the ex-villain receiving the least amount of votes and the saved teen losing her sing off against Cowell's manufactured group Fifth Harmony. Last week, Paige Thomas and Vino Alan left the competition "in the most shocking elimination so far". Tonight, everyone is fighting for a place in the semifinal as the top 6 risk everything singing unplugged songs and facing the Pepsi challenge. Tonight we are celebrating Thanksgivings. The contestants will be dedicating their songs to someone they are thankful for. "There's no thing more powerful than giving thanks, but make no mistake, they are still competing for 5 million dollars", LA says. Gee. So expect tears all over the studio. There'll be another double elimination this week. Last week's left LYIRIC 145 and Jennel Garcia out of the competition, so who's turn will it be tonight? ... It's time to face the music!

I've been having a lot of problems with this show since it began. The first season wasn't completely covered since I couldn't do it myself and the guy that was writing it decided not to do it mid season. The same thing happened again this year. That's why I've decided that it'd be better if I did it myself. So from now on, I'll be covering the XF US for you all. I won't be writing the missing posts (Auditions 5 and 6, Bootcamp and JH) because it'd take me too much time I don't have it, but I hope you enjoy the live shows recaps! So 16 contestants have made it to the lives but by the end of the week, only 12 will remain, with the judges picking 8 contestants for a sing off and then sending 4 of them packing. The theme tonight is Made in America but don't expect anything great, I've heard it was a pretty lame night ... It's time to face the music!

Hello everyone and welcome to another week of the X Factor US. Last week we were introduced to two new judges. One being Disney star Demi Lovato and the other pop princess Brittney Spears. Despite the star power among the judges, there was a significant lack of talent among the contestants but hopefully that'll change this week. So sit back and relax because it's time to face the music!.
