X Factor Spoilers: Storm Lee

Warning: This article may contain spoilers!

Storm Lee is one of the rumored Over 28 finalists. Finding information on this guy has been pretty rough! Aparently there's no track of him!! All his videos and sites have been delated recently and there's no much to work with. I think this lack is a good sign, he may really be a finalist, and not just a rumor. Despite this all, I've been able to find something on him ...

I'm Searching for a New Member!!

Hi! Firstly, I want to thank you all for the support and nice comments in this past months, I really appreciate them! I also have great things planned! So keep tuned!

Going to our issue now, as you've seen, I don't post as much as I'd like due to time limitations. Although I consider myself really individualistic, I've decided that the best thing is searching for a new blog writer! So if you are a music fan and always loved writing, this is your chance! Even if you don't have experience you can apply! As you all know, I don't earn any profit for this, I just do it because I love to, so don't apply expecting a pay or something in return to your collaboration. I'm especially looking for someone who can cover the news section, cause I know it's the weakest, but if you'd like any other, just say it and we'll see. You should be 18+ in order to apply.

So, if you are interested, write me to musicisthedoor@gmail.com, and please include a pice of your writing. Just cover any news you want, but don't copy-paste! You've up to September 4 to submit your application and the following day I'll post my decision, presenting the new writer to you all!

Music Video: Kris Allen: The Truth

"The Truth" is Kris's second single from his debut eponymous album. The song was released on May 11, 2010 and features Train singer, Pat Monahan, who is also the song writer. The music video premiered on August 17 on VH1. I'm so in love with this video! Kris videos are always terrific. They are so unique and they look really good. This song is also beautiful, one of my favourites of the album. I didn't get why Pat is in the video. I know he also sings in the single but he is totally irrelevant here. And what were those chandeliers? The looked really good, but what was their meaning? I'm a bit confused after this, but still excited for such an amazing video!

Must Be The Music: Audition Show 1 Recap!

I really like this new show!!! It's all about music, and what I love is that anyone can audition. From a flautist to a whole choir ensamble. I also think it's very interesting that contestants get to sing their own stuff, as in other shows that's not possible. They also have a great cast, with music insiders who really know what they are talking about and can give honest contructive opinions.  Enough chatting, let's go to the real thing! The first audition show! Although this was a double episode, I'll make one post for each of them. Auditions were held in Manchester, Edinburgh and London. The show has a sort of America's Got Talent meets American Idol format. The judges vote after each performance for yes or no, and then give their comments, with two yeses, the acts advance. The videos in this post are the ones found in the MBTM YouTube channel, that's why there aren't all the contestants.  All auditioners advancing will be narrowed to 15 semi-finalist on the next double episode. And I've taken so long because I got to see the show today, but I promise next week will be quicker!

Music Video: Pink: Leave Me Alone I'm Lonely + Funhouse + Please Don't Leave Me, Funhouse Summer Carnival Tour Versions!

The incredible P!nk has released three new versions of her old music videos, "Leave Me Alone I'm Lonely", "Funhouse" and "Please Don't Leave Me", some days ago. The mainly black and white videos were shot during her Funhouse Summer Carnival Tour as an appreciation to her fans. I really liked the "Leave Me Alone I'm Lonely" video, it was funny and I loved the Chaplin like scenes. "Please Don't Leave Me" was very similar to it, the same type really; however, I didn't like this much. Is she a giant with a dwarf? Bearing in mind this are low budget videos, this is good, but without taking that on account, it's not as good.  The man who played her boyfriend and the child who acted as the dwarf, weren't similar at all, which made the vide look horrible. On the other hand, "Funhouse" is sort of a video from her tour, with the classic circus freaks as her band.

Don't Stop Believing: Supergroup 5th Week New Members!

This Sunday 5 new more members will be added to The Supergroup, leaving it with 25, with the 5 last members being added in the final week. They all look really good, but if I have to pick my favourite based on looks, I'd pick Lauren and Natalie, they seem to have powerful and interesting voices. I wish they all get a solo to prove them! I've noticed that the images are missing a border, which I may correct later this week.

Interview: MoZella

I recently got the chance to interview the successful and unique Universal recording artist, MoZella. The singer of songs such as "Freezing", "Stay" and "Magic (Oh Oh Oh)", answered me this questions in which she reveled why she's called MoZella, her influences and the meaning behind some of her songs. As one of my favourite artists, it was really an honor to interview and know a little more about her. Her album, "Belle Isle"  is a must-buy, which you can do below the questions. Catching Up With: Anne Arrak: I'm Here, First Single

Anne was one of my favourites during the third series of Estonian Idol, she had that hard rocker voice and the looks to carry it, she was also one of the best vocalists and was extremely talented. Unfortunately, Anne fell short when she only achieved a 7th place. Time passed and on February 26, she released her first single through YouTube, titled "I'm Here". The song is really good. Her vocals are as stunning as always and although the song is a bit slow, I could easily buy this. However, it felt a bit out-dated, almost like an 80s tune, if think it was because of the prolongation of the chorus, yes, I didn't liked that much, but she's still great!

Catching Up With: Pernille: Debut Single: Turn The Lights Off!

Pernille Svensen Øiestad was the 6th placer on the norwegian version of the X Factor last year, which was also it's first series. The girl really catched my attention on the show, she was  really valuable, but after her elimination I feared that will be the last I'll hear from her. But this changed! This scandinavian unique beauty has released her debut single "Turn The Lights Off" some time ago, on May 7.  The song is a dancy  and very catchy song, much in the vibe of Swedish Idol Tove Styrke's "Million Pieces".  Her voice has a really interesting and almost quircky style, very similar to Diana Vicker's voice, but a bit more popish. But that aren't all the good news! The talented singer has signed a record deal with Universal Music Group! Yes, you've heard it right. Universal has signed a 6th placer finalist. But that's not as surprising as fellow contestant Rikke Lie's signing with them too! Rikke came out 9th despite being one of the best, and I feared the same as with Pernille. I'm so glad for both. I'm sure we'll hear much from them in the future!

Catching Up With: Ruth Lorenzo: First Single, Eternity!

X Factor 2008 fifth placer, Ruth Lorenzo, was signed to EMI shortly after the series ended. But some time ago, the deal fell apart, and now Ruth plans to launch her album independently. I don't know how will this end, maybe, with a great amount of support from her fans, she will achive the same success she would have if she sticked to the initial deal, but I think she'll be fine, after all, she's one of the best voices I've heard! Going back to our issue, the Spanish has just released her first single, "Eternity", written by Francis Rodino. The song is available as a free download on her site. It's a smooth pop ballad, very slow but with some great notes and a beautiful raspiness. If all of her songs are going to be like this, it will be a hell of an album! A very solid debut overall.

Ellie Goulding: The Writer Cover!

Ellie's new single, "The Writer", is finally available on iTunes! A music video (which you can see HERE)  for the song was released on July 11, but it wasn't until August 9 that the song was released! Ellie looks really gorgeous in this cover, as she does in all, though I wouldn't have choosen that green, maybe a red or something, but it's really cool still. The song was released along with some remixes of it and an acoustic version.

Music Video: Scissor Sisters: Any Which Way

"Any Which Way" is Scissor Sisters next single which is stated for a September 20 release. The video was shot over two days in London, England and directed by Ace Norton. It's a great video! Very Scissor Sisters. Colorful, fun and of course, there's loads of nudity, he really enjoys it! I also love this song, why it isn't in the album? Is there a new album coming out soon? I want one of that hats, the one with fireworks! It's so freaking awesome! Best Scissor Sister's video so far? Not really. Coolest Sicssor Sisters video? For sure!

Catching Up With: Katy Perry: Not Like in the Movies + Circle the Drain

The new pop queen brings us two amazing new promotional singles, "Not Like in the Movies" and  "Circle the Drain", released on August 3 and August 10, 2010 respectively. The first one is a slow and heartful song, while the other is a dance tune more in the "California Gurls" vibe. If I had to choose, I would definetly pick "Not Like in the Movies". It's such a great song, probably one of the best she had written.  After all it was written with Greg Wells, who penned two of her biggest hits, "Waking Up in Vegas" and "Ur So Gay". Following this two singles, a third will be released on August 17, 2010, followed by the album on August 24.

Music Video: Katy Perry: Teenage Dream

"Teenage Dream" is Katy's second single from her upcoming second major release of the same name. The song was released on July 23 and the video, which was directed by Yoann Lemoine, on August 10. It features Josh Kloss as Katy's love interest and a very simple Katy, not the artificial "California Gurls" one. This song is so much better in many ways! Her voice is ten times better and the video is much more gorgeous! They look really hot together and the meaning in the lyrics seems to really come from her heart. In one word, beautiful!

Music Video: Sugarland: Stuck Like Glue

"Stuck Like Glue" is Sugarland's first single from their upcoming album, "The Incredible Machine", set to be released on October 19, 2010. The single was released on July 23 and the video debuted on August 6. It features actor Ryan McPartlin who plays Devon Woodcomb on NBC's "Chuck". I just love her! The concept of the video and her voice are terrific! She's also a great actress, she is a perfect crazy obsessive stalker! The chages she makes in her voice and tone are absolutely wonderful! I've never heard someone who does that! I want more of her!

Music Video: Kanye West: Power

"Power" is Kanye's first single from his fifth album "Dark Twisted Fantasy", set for release in Novembre 2010.  The song was released on May 28 and the music video premiered on August 5. What can I say about this? I liked the video. The mythological creatures were really cool and those close-ups too, but not even appearing in your own video is a bit too much. Why is Kanye in a  painting? And why does this video last less than 2 minutes when the song is much longer?

Music Video: Eminem: Love the Way You Lie feat. Rihanna

"Love the Way You Lie" is Eminem's second single from his seventh album, Recovery, which was released on June 18, 2010. The song was released on June 21 and a music video directed by Joseph Kahn of it debuted on August 5. The video has already gained 19 million views, a record in YouTube! Firstly, I've to say that I don't like Eminem. I don't know why, but I've never did so. So, I started watching this video in a total dislike attitude, but to my surprise, this is genius! The Rihanna beggining is magnific, red hair really fits her!,  and the video overall is just great. It features Megan Fox in an abusive relationship with Dominic Monaghan, both making a great job! Dominic is a great actor! Those faces and the mood changes are so well done. The burning house scenes with Rihanna are so cool! They are definitely the best parts of the video, and I just love that thing she does with her mouth, it's so unusual! And Eminem isn't as bad as I thought! Guy can rap! I like the rythm change between him and Rihanna. I might even buy Eminem's album and do a review of it after this!

Music Video: David Archuleta: Something 'Bout Love + Album Cover

S7 runner-up, David Archuleta bring us here his latest music video, "Something 'Bout Love". It is his first single from his third album, "The Other Side of Down", to be released on October 5. The single was released on July 20 and the music video debuted on August 5 and was directed by Declan Whitebloom, the same who filmed "Crush". It's an ok song for me. David's vocals are definitely better than in his previous albums, but he's still singing teenish songs, and yes, that sells, but to other teens! I mean, he can have a good carrer going the Jonas Brothers way, but he could have a great carrer if he aims to a more adult audience. The video is a bit wierd too, I can't descibe how, but it is!

Catching Up With: Alex Lambert: Untouchable, New Demo!

Alex bring us another of her original demos. This time it's "Untouchable", an RnB influenced tune in the unique way Alex can do it. I really like this song, though I would have prefered it a bit more acoustic and with his voice as the star, rather than keeping it low on the background. But this is still a demo, which means this song can be re-mastered. I've already said this many times, but I think Alex will be the highlight of Season 9!

"Take It Off" is Ke$ha's fourth single from her debut album "Animal". It was released on July 13, 2010. The music video premiered on Vevo on August 3, 2010 and was directed by Paul Hunter and Dori Oskowitz. I just love this song! Yes, her voice isn't special or perfect, but she is fun! She is like a mini Lady Gaga, not so overloaded with the tragicness and darkness she has, but with a more funny and entertaining side. The meaning behind the song, according to Ke$ha, it's about taking off your inhibitions and being raw and real.
