I'm currently looking for some new writers in order to expand the blog given that I can't post the amount of things I'd like to. So if you are interested in writing about anything related to music (news, TV shows, album reviews, introducing artists) just drop me an email to musicisthedoor@gmail.com and we can discuss some of your ideas.

The Voice UK Series 3: The Final - Top 4 Perform

 photo TheVoiceUKlogo_zps37999bad.png

After only three liveshows, we've made it to the final! 4 acts remain, ballad extraordinaire Sally Barker, powerhouse Christina Marie, deep voiced Jermain Jackman and passionate Jamie Johnson, but only one of them will be crowned The Voice UK! ... This is The Voice!

The Voice UK Series 3: The Semi-Final - Top 8 Perform

 photo TheVoiceUKlogo_zps37999bad.png

4 acts left us during last week's Quarter Final, Rachel O'Connor, Emily Adams, Georgia Harrup and Iesher Haughton, and despite the fact the 4 said contestants were female, it's hard to argue this wasn't the right choice. Tonight, the Top 8 will be performing on the just renewed series (for two more seasons!) one more time in order to make it to next week's final, plus The Voice USA coach Shakira will be taking the stage. Whose dream will be crushed? ... This is The Voice!

With Kevin busy with school and The Voice of Ireland, yours truly is back at recapping The Voice UK! I'd say I'm glad to do this but we all know I'd be lying. But it's just 3 shows, so maybe I'm gonna enjoy it a little. Tonight, the Top 12 will perform for the first time live in order to get your votes and make it into next week's semi-final. Yep, you've heard that right, in two weeks time, we'll have a winner.

The Voice UK Series 3: Blind Auditions 7

 photo TheVoiceUKlogo_zps37999bad.png

We're almost there, it's the final blind auditions show tonight and so the coaches are down to the last few spaces on their teams. They'll all be hoping to complete their teams ahead of the battle rounds but with spaces limited, every act who auditions will have to pull out all the stops to make the numbers.

We're almost there, it's the penultimate blind auditions show tonight and so the coaches aren't too far away from filling their teams. As even more talent competes for a spot in the next round including a musical star, two brothers and a burlesque dancer, which voices will get the coaches in a spin tonight?

Last week saw more strong talent advance to the Battle Rounds with Rachael O'Connor top of the bill after an enchanting performance of 'Clown'. We're over half the way through the blind auditions now so there's still time for more exciting talent to join the coaches' teams.

I think the show is looking like it could be in for a strong run this series with even more talent joining the ranks of Team Tom and Team Will in particular last week. Tonight, a West-End star who has toured with Michael Ball and a Belfast born mum of one will be hoping to turn the coaches chairs.

After a somewhat weaker second audition show last week, we're onto the third week of blind auditions. So far Anna McLuckie and Sophie-May Williams on Team Will are looking like strong contenders, will some of the other coaches be able to scoop up talent to rival the Black Eyed Peas member's team?

The series got off to a strong start last week with plenty of strong talent from harp-playing Scottish teenagers to quirky renditions of 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'. This week, the four coaches, Tom, Will and new coaches Kylie and Ricky will be aiming to add even more top talent to their teams, will this week see the eventual winner auditioning?

The Voice is back with a third series at an earlier time of the year in the hope that it might fare better in the ratings. The reality talent series saw Andrea Begley emerge as the winner last year but with Jessie and Danny quitting and being replaced by pop princess Kylie Minogue and Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson, will the fresh panel lead to fresh talent?

The Voice UK 2014: New Coaches, New Presenters, New Schedule!

 photo TheVoiceUKlogo_zps37999bad.png
Just in case you're wondering, no you haven't travelled forward in time by three months, it's still 2013! However, whilst The X Factor takes up our screens for the next few months, BBC1's rival to the singing competition, The Voice UK doesn't want to be forgotten that easily so they have made quite a few big announcements in the past few weeks. With Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue quitting after two series in the red chairs, two new coaches are set to join the panel. Who? Scroll down to find out.

The Voice UK: Series 2: Top 4 Perform - The Grand Final!

 photo TheVoiceUKlogo_zps37999bad.png
Well we're definitely down to the nitty gritty now, it's the finals and only four acts remain but only one can win. Will it be powerful Northern Irish singer Leah Mc Fall, folk singer Andrea Begley, country vocalist Mike Ward or soul man Matt Henry? Personally I can't see any result but a Leah win but the public could surprise us like last year and deliver a surprising winner. All the same, it all hinges on tonight's performances, will one of the hopefuls blow us away?

The Voice UK: Season 2: Top 8 Perform - The Semi-Finals!

 photo TheVoiceUKlogo_zps37999bad.png

After the exit of Alys, Sarah, Mitchel and Leanne last week, it's two on each team as the remaining contestants fight it out head-to-head with their fellow team member for that spot in the final. Each team has just one spot in the final mind so who will get each place? And more importantly can anyone derail Leah who is the clear favourite?

The Voice UK: Season 2: Top 12 Perform!

 photo TheVoiceUKlogo_zps37999bad.png
After the knockout rounds, each coach has whittled their team down to just three artists with more than a couple of shock decisions (*cough* Abi and Conor *cough*). Anyway, tonight the Top 12 will perform with each coach getting to save one of their three artists. The remaining two on each team will go head to head in the public vote with one artist from each coach heading home. That means by the end of the night, there will be just eight artists remaining, two per team.

The Voice of UK: Season 2: The Knockout Rounds

 photo TheVoiceUKlogo.png
This is a new stage of the competition that has been introduced after The Voice US brought it into their third season in Autumn 2012. The way it works is each coach will choose one of their seven acts to automatically go through to the live shows, that act will sing what would have been their knockout round song as a victory song. The coaches will then sort the remaining six into two groups of three, each artist will sing one song and from each group of three, only one artist can go through leaving each coach with 3 artists for the live shows. With favourites such as Conor, Abi, Ash, Leah and Alys still in with a shot, who will make the lives?

The Voice UK: Season 2: The Battle Rounds!

 photo TheVoiceUKlogo.png
So after several weeks of blind auditions, we're at the Battle Rounds when each coach will slice their teams in half by pitting them against each other in pairs. However, this year there is a twist as each coach has one 'steal' which allows them to steal an act that one of their fellow coaches has decided to send home. So as twelve acts are cut down to six then rounded up to seven, who will deliver a knockout blow and who will be KO'd by their opponent?

The Voice UK Season 2: The Blind Auditions!

The Voice UK is back for a second season, after a relatively good first series. Whether they will be able to improve upon the flaws of the first series with the sophomore season remains to be seen but with the panel staying as it is, the only thing changing will be the format itself, with more contestants on each coach's team, further use of the rotating chairs and the brand new 'knockout rounds'. Hollie and Reggie are back too, so with a few new format changes but no new faces on the panel, maybe the new changes will prove a godsend for the show.

The Voice UK: Season 1: Top 4 - Final - Perform!

So finally we have the final of the Voice UK! And we have four acts remaining, for Team Tom, it's Elv...Leanne Mitchell, representing Team Jessie is Vince Kidd, on Team Danny is Bo Bruce (my favourite) and over with Team Will is Tyler James. So who will win? Bo Bruce. Oh okay then, let's just watch the performances and decide though for me it appears as if the conclusion has already been drawn.

The Voice UK: Season 1: Top 8 - Semi-Final - Perform!

Photobucket

The Voice UK has FINALLY reached the semi-final stage and there are just eight contestants left, two on each team. So far, some of my favourites including Joelle Moses and Bill Downs are long gone and so we are left with our semi-finalists. If I had my way, the final would be Becky Hill or Vince Kidd (I like both) for Team Jessie, Bo Bruce for Team Danny, Ruth Brown for Team Tom and Tyler James for Team Will, but of course I probably won't be fully correct, we'll see what happens, right now, I have to see the performances.

The Voice UK: Season 1: Top 16 - Part 2 - Perform!

It feels like no time since we were watching the judges turn around in their chairs in the Blind Auditions but alas, we're getting closer to the final as Team Tom and Team Will have already been narrowed down to just two contestants per team. So now, we're back with Team Jessie and Team Danny as two acts must go home from each time, I would probably most like Vince and Becky from Team Jessie and Bo and Max from Team Danny to make it through, whether this actually happens has yet to be seen but fingers crossed!
