Sabina Ddumba: "Scarred For Life"

I knew we were seeing her again! After being inexplicably cut during the Judges Houses of the first and only season of the XF Sweden two years ago (no wonder why it flopped), the gorgeous stunner is releasing her debut single, "Scarred For Life", possibly due to her involvement with the show. All kidding aside, the tune is an emotional soulful ballad with some fantastic, equally heart-pulling mournful lyrics, especially it's surprisingly catchy chorus, "Cuts are getting deeper. You really fucked me up this time. I just can't stop bleeding, baby I am scarred for life". Released via Warner Music, this could very well be the launch Sabina was hoping the XF could give her.
Manda: "Criminals" + "Sweetest Heartbreak" Video

Good news for Manda fans! Not only does the former X Factor Sweden contestant has two songs out, the incredibly catchy "Sweetest Heartbreak", a song even Katy Perry would be jealous of, and the wonderful, equally addictive, pop ballad "Criminals", but she's also competing on this year's Melodifestivalen, which begins this Saturday (February 1), with the song "Glow", something that could potentially make her star a lot brighter. "Glow" was written by Joy Deb, Linnea Deb and Charlie Mason, the same team that wrote "Criminals", along with Melanie Wehbe, of Idol Sweden fame, and if that's any indication, her entry could very well end up taking home the prize.

Ms Murphy: "White Dress and the Spirit" Out Now + "Ritual Union" Video

She wowed everyone with her renditions on The Voice Australia's second season and despite being eliminated on the semi-finals, she left a lasting impression on the public, resulting in her signing to Universal and the release of a brand new EP, "White Dress and the Spirit". The EP opens with a cover of Little Dragon's "Ritual Union", completely transformed into a bluesy Motown-era-sounding track and after just a few seconds you are glued to this phenomenal soulful effort. I guess it's to do with Ms Murphy's voice, there's no resisting that full rich tone of hers. Unfortunately, it only contains five songs but from the looks of it, I only expect greatness from this lady.

Samantha Jade: "Soldier" Out Now!

Even if "Firestarter" wasn't able to set the charts ablaze, it still got a respectable #9 charting and went on to become Sammi's second Platinum single. (I've included the music video since I never posted it) Now she's back with her DNA produced third single, "Soldier", out today (November 15), and she's better than ever. Not only does Samantha look awesomely hot on the music video but she also sounds incredible on it. Inspired by the recent split with her boyfriend, she channelled all that anger and heartbreak into this killer to-be hit. "I was in the middle of getting through (the break-up) and I'm still not over it," she said "I was so sad and I wish someone had fought harder for me. I wish it had been 'The Notebook', we built a house and waited 10 years for each other". Samantha can next be seen on Seven's INXS mini-series, "Never Tear Us Apart", in which she plays Kylie Minogue. Her second album is expected to hit the stores around the same time, in February.

THIRD D3GREE: "Different Kind Of Love" Out Now!

Even if they weren't able to make it to the finale, the group had to be doing something right since they were instantly signed to Sony after the finale, along with the two runner-ups. One of the most disappointing moments of the season came when they were eliminated 4th,leaving us without the chance to listen to their would-be single. So here it is and it's as good as Nat promised. Cool, entertaining and truth to their style. The sound is infectious and Kelebek is at her best here, with her explosive rap shining through the song. The single is already out and hopefully, it'll do as well as it deserves.

Dami Im: "Alive" Out Now

Minutes after being crowned the winner, Dami's debut single was released on iTunes, quickly climbing to the top of the charts."Alive", produced and written by DNA Songs, isn't as disappointing as it was on first listen. Dami is an amazing live performer but I thought the song didn't honor her powerful pipes. Suffice it to say, the studio version sounds a lot better. Dami's self-titled debut, which will include the songs she performed on Idol, will hit the stores on November 22, so mark your calendars!

Bella Ferraro: "Forgot You" Out Now

Despite the fact "Set Me On Fire" wasn't able to set the charts aflame, Sony is staying in business with X Factor Australia S4 4th placer Bella Ferraro. The new single is titled "Forgot You" and while it displays Bella's captivating tone to perfection much as her first single did, it's also a much catchier tune, something I completely dig. The uptempo song also features Will Singe, also known as the best part of The Collective, Bella's fellow XF contestant, and while I've enjoyed Will in the past, his addition wasn't really necessary. The rap doesn't bring anything to an otherwise great song. It doesn't bother but I feel the song would've been even better without it. What I love about Bella is the fact that if I heard her on the radio, I'll instantly know it's her. Overall, another amazing effort from her, hope it's the hit she deserves.

Emma Birdsall: "Lovers & Friends" Video

The Voice Australia S1 songbird brings us a song worthy of her talent. Emma Birdsall instantly charmed Seal with her take on "Mercy", prompting the singer to get on his feet and start dancing. While her Island Records debut is no dancing material, it's a fantastic first effort. Her short run on The Voice (she was sent home during the Top 16) didn't really give us much insight into what kind of artist Emma is and I don't think I'll ever pictured her doing something like this. There's a certain jazzy feel, yet the song feels current, something you could hear on the radio. It's quite beautiful to be honest and the video makes it even better. I'm eagerly awaiting for her album.

Max Giesinger: "Unser Sommer" Out Now

Max Giesinger placed 4th on The Voice of Germany's first season, back in February 2012. A year later comes his newest single since the show, accompanied by an EP of the same name, "Unser Sommer". Personally, I don't understand a single word that's said but Max's voice captivated me from the moment he started singing. He's got such an interesting sound, I love his slightly raspy tone. To me, this song is the embodiment of summer, which probably makes sense since the title translates to "our summer".

James Arthur: "You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You" Out Now

James Arthur has finally unveiled his first single since winning the X Factor UK's 9th series. With his winner's single, "Impossible", certified double Platinum, it's no wonder that the artist's newest effort "You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You" has the same soulful style. The groovy, chart-ready tune is a perfect fit for James' addictive gritty tone and if all the songs on his self-titled first album, due for release on November 4, are this catchy, the guy could have a hit on his hands.

Sandra van Nieuwland: "Hunter"

Sandra refuses to fall into oblivion. The singer shot to fame when she competed on The Voice of Holland's third season and despite not being able to win the title, she's been the most successful artist of the season to date. Her debut album, "And More", a compilation of songs she performed on The Voice (plus some new ones), managed to stay atop the charts for an impressive seven weeks and earned her a Platinum record. The superb "Hunter", released August 3, is the follow-up single to the album and it's already charting at #14 on the Dutch Top 100, which is better than Leona Philippo (S3 winner) achieved with "With a Word". The single is a lot catchier than I envisioned it and her airy vocals are a complete joy. I was picturing her second album as a continuation of her debut but this new direction is a complete shift from the slow vocals she gave us before and a much welcomed one. I couldn't be more excited for what's to come next.

Harrison Craig: "Unconditional" Out Now

Harrison was finally crowned the winner on tonight's show after a season in which he was the sole front runner. As anti-climatic as the announcement was, and whether I think he deserved it or not, he's by far not the worst winner the franchise's had. His previous original, "More than a Dream" made it to the top on the iTunes charts and the new song seems to be following a similar pattern. While not as good as the previous, which I thought was Harrison's biggest moment during the show, the tune is indeed quite nice. A bit cheesy lyrically but perfect as a coronation single. It remains to be seen if his album will be as successful as Karise's, and it probably will.

Cassadee Pope: "Wasting All These Tears" Out Now

Less than six months ago, the former Hey Monday frontwoman was crowned the winner of the third season of The Voice US. During the show, she reinvented her punk pop image and morphed into a believable country artist with the help of coach Blake. That transformation is completed with her debut single, the radio ready "Wasting All These Tears", released June 4 via Universal Republic Nashville. While doing country music probably never crossed her mind, it was obvious that was the genre for her when she blow our minds with her Miranda Lambert's "Over You" cover. The new single is quite similar to that memorable performance and most importantly, it doesn't disappoint. It's honestly the perfect single to begin her career.

Karise Eden: "Threads of Silence" Out Now

"I remember standing there waiting for the announcement, it was like the whole world had stopped. And then, I just went on the world" she says. Her debut album which mostly featured covers from the show went double platinum. It's kinda like a fire, you can't just throw a whole bunch of bushy, leafy twigs on the fire, it's just gonna 'puff' and burn out really quickly, we've put a lot of wood on that and that's gonna keep it burning. And that's what I'm doing now, just that slow burning process of creating your own music". She's been co writing her album in London and Australia. Every song reflect her childhood memories, "like a journal, a musical journal". "I'm at a point in my life were I'm sailing my own ship and it's just such a peaceful place to be in your life" Karise adds. She co wrote "Threads of Silence" in London.The single, which is out today, June 4, features her characteristically mellow style, with her soulful beast of a voice delivering one of the best performances we've seen on The Voice stage. Already charting at #3, Karise's the staying power of becoming one of Australia's biggest stars and with time, I'm confident she will.

X Factor Australia 2012: Samantha Jade's, Jason Owen's and The Collective Winner's Single Out Now!

Samantha Jade was ultimately crowned the winner last week after finding herself in the B2 three times during the season beating Jason Owen and The Collective, who came in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Now that the season is over, you may want to find something else to fill the void until the next season comes or The Voice AU premieres, so, in case you are feeling some withdrawal from the lack of the XF AU this week here I give you full studio versions of the winner's singles plus my take on them and a link to buy the songs. Maria Mohn: "Bedtime Story" Out Now!

Idol Norge finalist gone-to-soon Maria Mohn has finally unveiled her post Idol debut single. The 6th place finalist had a quite prolific career prior to the show, releasing her first album, Norwegian sang "Blimed Meg" in 2010. The new single, "Bedtime Story", was released on August 6 with it's music video debuting on August 10. The song is an alluring indie track in the mellow way Maria used to tackle her Idol covers. In the playful music video, which was directed by Linn Marie Christensen, Maria takes on the classic Snow White while looking like a Grecian goddess in an epic blue dress. "Bedtime Story" is a superb tune by one of Norway's most promising artists, I can hardly contain myself while waiting for her album.

Iris Kroes: "Throw In Tomorrow" Out Now

We've not heard much of Iris since she was crowned the winner of the second season of The Voice of Holland. Thankfully, that's about to change. Her newest single, "Throw In Tomorrow" was released today (August 3) and it'll serve as the lead single of her aptly titled debut album "First", which will be released on the eve of the third season premiere, August 24. For those following her carrer, Iris post-Voice single "Just More", which was a cover of Wonderwall's hit, only managed to make it to #35. However, looking at how previous winner Ben Saunders carrer started, Iris's got nothing to worry about. "Throw In Tomorrow" is a major shift in direction from her previous material, and this time, it works for the better. The song is way more catchy and despite the faster, more pop-ish beat, Iris's distinguishable harp and gentel voice are still present. I'm starting to get excited for her, considering the premiere of the new season will be a huge platform to promote her album.

StooShe: "Black Heart" Out Now!

StooShe was shortlisted on the BBC Sound of 2012, and my own, earlier in the year. This newcomer trio first impressed with it's urban upbeat tracks though those didn't showcase their vocals properly. Now the girls are all about showing they can actually hit big notes in their newest single, "Black Heart", which serves as the second single of their upcoming album, "Swings & Roundabouts", to be released this month. Out the x-rated lyrics and in the heartfelt material, yet still full of swag. Honestly, I'm prefering this StooShe over the old one, especially cause now the vocals are much more pleasant. I think they've got a hit-to-be with this one.

Rochelle: "You vs Me" Out Now

XF Netherlands 2011 winner, and very possible the final one (that is if XF doesn't come back in spring 2013 as it's stated to), is finally unveiling her debut album, out today, March 30. I've always said that Rochelle sounded like Jessie J during her XF run but in her debut record, "You vs Me", the girl totally unleashes the innner Jessie she always had, specially on first album single, "What a Life", which sounds like something the own "Price Tag" hitmaker would perform. The album's title track isn't exactly showing all the swagger Rochelle has, instead, it shows the Jordin Sparks wannabe she first showed in her debut single, "No Air", an ok effort, just not good enough. Thankfully, the album tracks are more Jessie than Jordin, a relief if you ask me, cause honestly, the whole album sounds quite fantastic, so go get your copy now!

Iris Kroes: "Just More" Out Now

Two months after winning the second season of The Voice of Holland, Iris Kroes is releasing her debut single with 8ball Music, "Just More", which is a cover of deutsch pop band Wonderwall, now disbanded. The single was released on March 10, and despite the little promotion it recived, it managed to climb to the 35th position of the top 100. Previous winner Ben Saunder's singles didn't cope well with the charts either but his debut album got a lot of praise, so this low position for Iris doesn't worry me and it does even less considering how much I like the single. Although there are many similarities with the original, Iris's signature harp and soft vocals totally sold it for me, even when it's a cover, which is a huge no in my debut single guidebook.
