Music Video: Clare Maguire: The Shield And The Sword

It's no mistery that Clare is my favourite new artist this year. She blew me away with her first single, she made me go nuts with her second and I'm sure I'll go completely insane with this one! "The Shield and The Sword" is not only my favourite track from her deubt "Light After Dark" but it's also Clare's to be third single. The gorgeous music video premiered on April 19, 2011 and it's as amazing as you could imagine. A bit wierd and not exactly related to the song lyrics but Clare is just beautiful so I can't say anything bad about this, not saying it is at all.

Probably my favourite artist at the moment, Miss Maguire continues to impress with her deep soulish voice and catchy melodies. For every fan, like me, February 28 feels better than my own birthaday, even bigger than Christmas! And if you feel like that too, you can now PRE-ORDER HER ALBUM!! The album date, tracklisting and name have been reveled a while ago but now we can delight our eyes with the beautiful album cover! It reminds me of an 80s Bond movie, mysteryous and an old sexy look, not in the age way but in her beauty. The bright red lips, the little red nail and the discrete title all make this album amazing! Surely it will gain Grammys and Brits, cause Claire is the next biggest artist, even if she didn't win the BBC poll! And also for your pleasure, I've posted two acoustic videos of album tracks, "This is Not the End" and "The Shield and the Sword", which is currently my favourite song of her!

Clare Maguire: The Last Dance Music Video! + BBC Sound of 2011 5th

As you probably figured out, the amazing Clare Maguire was robbed in the BBC Sound of 2011, only coming in a miserable 5th place! Still, I believe this precious soulstress will outsell all the acts on that list and probably all in my list too. Here we have the debut of her second single's music video, "The Last Dance", which is released on February 20, 2011, being the album, "Light After Dark" released February 28, 2011, which means we'll have to wait a long time since we hear that amazing record, and yes, I consider almost two moths a long time. Still, we have this fantastic video to entertain ourselves, with probably some of the best vocals and visuals of the year, and we're just starting ... The song is actually really Adele-ish, big powerful soul voice. The video is a masterpice, it's already on my list of best music videos of 2011!

The incredible Clare Maguire has just released some sick music for us to be more anxious than ever with her debut. The favourite to top the BBC Sound of 2011 is getting generous releasing her album song, "You're Electric" as iTunes free track of the week. She's also previewing her next single music video, "The Last Dance", plus recording a cover. This incredible Xmas present has positioned her as my favourite, those mesmerizing shaky echoing vocals are heaven in Earth ... And you can now pre-order her debut, due out February 28.

BBC Sound of 2011: List Reveled! + Stand-outs!

The BBC Sound of 2011 list has finally been released and the Top 15 acts unvieled! I must say I'm really surprised with the acts, never expected some of them there, nor I know many of them. My favourites to win my own Sound of poll weren't there and only three of the 24 appeared on it, they being Clare Maguire, Jessie J and Esben and the Witch. However, I was really surprised with some of them, which are featured after the jump as long with the list. Individual articles coming soon.

I remember when I first heard of Clare, like ten months ago, she had a real simple MySpace with one or two songs and not even a single photo of her, but as soon as I played them I instantely fell in love with her voice ... Ten months later and now Claire is the newst artist of Universal and is recording her debut album, apart from being one of the biggest promises of the british music scene and my favourite to win the Sound of 2011 poll! Her first single "Ain't Nobody" is a dark love tune which showcases the beautiful vocals of Clare. Moving in the vibe of the likes of Adele and Amy Winehouse, this little brit will certainly have a huge success, in the UK and overseas! And if it doesn't work, she can always have a carrer in modelling!
