I'm currently looking for some new writers in order to expand the blog given that I can't post the amount of things I'd like to. So if you are interested in writing about anything related to music (news, TV shows, album reviews, introducing artists) just drop me an email to musicisthedoor@gmail.com and we can discuss some of your ideas.

Born in Copenhagen, this Danish/Spanish/French young singer has always had music in her life. The daughter of gypsy fathers, Aura wrote her first song at the age of 8, and she hasn't stopped since then. Her first song, "Something From Nothing", debutted in 2007, while her album, Columbine, was released on January 28, 2008 and charted #3 and certified Gold on Denamrk. Her gypsy roots really show on her music and style. She's got that folky sound, with many gypsy beats. And you all know that I love gypsy sounds! But it's not the gypsy you'll imagine, Aura's sound is definitely gypsy but it has a certain sophistication, like an special quirkiness and elegance, which really works with her voice. Aura Dione is surely having another album out soon, well, after her caravan comes back!
