I'm currently looking for some new writers in order to expand the blog given that I can't post the amount of things I'd like to. So if you are interested in writing about anything related to music (news, TV shows, album reviews, introducing artists) just drop me an email to musicisthedoor@gmail.com and we can discuss some of your ideas.

UPDATE: Naima Adedapo and Thia Megia are cut!
In one of the most surprising results shows ever, the once conisdered front runner, Casey Abrams was eliminated from the show. An extremely nervous Casey performed once more only to be cut short by Randy. He got the save! Now the Top 11 perform one more time but this time not one, but two contestants will be cut. Who will them be? ... This is American Idol!
Read my comments and watch the performances after the JUMP ...
Scotty McCreery
"Country Comfort" - 4/10 - He picked the song cause it has the word country on it. He's singing it to his grandma, how sweet!, not! Jimmy said he's a one trick pony, yeah, a horrible one. His with an acoustic guitar. With his wierd and akward faces and his disgusting voice! He gave a shout to his grandma! WTF! I hate this guy now, minus 2 points for that! It was a 6 before this. VIDEO.
Naima Adedapo
"I'm Still Standing" - 5/10 - She chose the song cause she's still standing in the competition. Jimmy gaves her a fucking dreadful idea. She's miming a Jamaican accent. Wierd. Not only she's making an Elton John a reagge song, she's putting a horrible accent into it. This arrengement with her normal voice and minus that intro would have actually worked. She won't be standing after this. VIDEO.
Paul McDonald
"Rocket Man" - 8,5/10 - He brought his flower suit back! Love it! He's done a great work with this song, one of Elton's most iconical. He's singing it in a whispery tone, very calmly but still really emotional! I'm so digging this performance, not sure who may be able to top this. OMG that ending! Incredibly unique! VIDEO.
Pia Toscano
"Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" - 7/10 - OMG! Pia has not picked a ballad! No she didn't! Another ballad courtesy of predictable Pia! I know who she reminds me! She's an american Rebecca Ferguson, a constant tendency to stand in one place and have zero facial expressions. We all know that you can sing but you bore us to death with those rigid performances! VIDEO.
Stefano Langone
"Tiny Dancer" - 2/10 - I hate him, hate him! He's cheesy, cursi and he makes wierd faces while singing. That disgusting eye brow raising! I can't even comment on his singing, his horrible thin falsetto, his lack of tone or any vocal ability. Ugh, he's the most cursi contestant Idol has had. One word: disgusting! VIDEO.
Lauren Alaina
"Candle in the Wind" - 9,5/10 - This is an amazing song choice! I'm excited to see what she has to offer! OMG! This is the best so far! Lauren has just grown a lot in me. I'd never thought she could do that to a song! This is a wonderful countrified version of this song, it's actually equally good to Rebecca Ferguson's. I love how sweet she is and she looks really gorgeous tonight! Best performance so far! VIDEO.
James Durbin
"Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting" - 7/10 - I'm not liking this. He starts on the new balcony section, lots of moving around the crowd. I hate this Elton song, probably one of his worsts. James vocals aren't good at all tonight. If it wasn't from the boldness and the piano burning of this performance, this would have been one of his worst performances. He hit some big notes but overall it was a flop. VIDEO.
Thia Megia
"Daniel" - 7/10 - Ok, Thia. Here's the situation. That's not a good statement on why you picked this song, because you missed your brother? Come on! And the other thing, all of your songs have been this slow boring pageant bot renditions. Vocally perfect? Yes, but all of them lacked passion, you act like a souless robot! Why can't you deliver one emotional performance? This makes me realize you needed many more years to develop your sound. VIDEO.
Casey Abrams
"Your Song" - 10/10 - He trimmed his beard and cut his hair. Finally! OMG! This is just a huge WOW! He slowed things up. Not the crazinnes we've been seeing from him. He's just singing. And nailing it. His beautiful tone is there and he's delivering one of the most amazing vocals of the season. He's making an amazing comeback! He's staying till Top 5 at least! VIDEO.
Jacob Lusk
"Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word" - 8/10 - Jacob is being the drama queen again. He's overracing this whole performance up to the point he starts crying. A great vocal performance but he was overdramatizing. I get it was an emotional performance but we don't need so much emotion! The last note was great though! VIDEO.
Haley Reinhart
"Bennie and the Jets" - 10/10 - YES! YES! Haley is in it to win it! She starts laying on the piano and has a rough time getting of it, funny. Her vocals are flawless! This is the best I've seen her and the best I've seen tonight! I'm so happy that she's making this a growly raspy performance. I'm so loving this! Haley is on top now. AMAZING! VIDEO.
Ok, so this is all! My predictions: Bottom 3: Stefano, Thia and Naima. Cut: Stefano and Naima.
