I'm currently looking for some new writers in order to expand the blog given that I can't post the amount of things I'd like to. So if you are interested in writing about anything related to music (news, TV shows, album reviews, introducing artists) just drop me an email to musicisthedoor@gmail.com and we can discuss some of your ideas.

She wowed everyone with her original song, "When I Held Ya", at her audition for Idol Sweden 2011, eventually making it to the top 3. Soon after that, it was announced that Moa had signed with Universal Records, who made her popular song a hit in Sweden, placing #4 in the charts. I'm really surprised we've not heard of any other fellow finalists being signed, cause honestly, the final season of Idol Sweden probably had the best top 11 in a long time, I'm sure some more signings will pop up eventually. Back to Moa, the Sherpas Cinema produced music video for her debut has finally arrived and it's as good as you imagined. I won't spoil any details, so be sure to watch!

The success is actually even bigger. The single version was first introduced on iTunes. It reached #1 in hours and kept that position for a whole month. As it appears, iTunes sales are still not included in the Swedish singles chart (due to a conflict with Apple), but the song was #1 for four weeks on Digilistan, a chart for all download sales, including iTunes.
It has also been reward double platinum so far.
Regarding the other participants, both finalists have been signed by Universal. This was the youngest top 11 ever in Sweden, and one of the most talented. I am sure that some of them will show up in the music business once they have finished high school. Moa herself is attending school 3-4 day a week, and writing song for her album the rest of the time.

I knew that but I thought the iTunes sells were considered in the Swedish charts, good to know they aren't though ...
And hopefully, here's hoping Amanda P and Andre get one
