I'm currently looking for some new writers in order to expand the blog given that I can't post the amount of things I'd like to. So if you are interested in writing about anything related to music (news, TV shows, album reviews, introducing artists) just drop me an email to musicisthedoor@gmail.com and we can discuss some of your ideas.
Music Video: Rachel Adedeji: Follow the DJ

We all remember the amazing Rachel Adedeji from 2009's 6th series of the X Factor. The Beyoncé like singer constantly found herself in the Bottom 2, much like this year's Katie Waissel, and she only managed to get the 9th place. Almost a year later, Rachel has just released her first music video of her to be single "Follow the DJ", due out February 2011. Despite she's releasing it independetly, the video looks so labelish! I mean, it actually looks much better than Joe McElderry's first single "Ambitions", who was released by a major label. The colour splashes and the slowmo segments really make it worth watching, even if you aren't her fan, it's so stilish and glamorous that you don't need to like her. Rachel's voice sounds really excellent and it shows she's been working to improve it and to find her own style, she's much quirckier and soulish than ever and that suits her perfectly! Are we wittnessing a Diana Vickers's like success here? You bet it!
