I'm looking for a Swedish translator, if anyone is interested, please email me.

We said goodbye to Alexander Holmgren when he unexpectedly found himself against favourite Isak in the B2. That's a major wake up call for the young chap, he needs to step it up even more if he still plans taking this. Only 5 remain now and the stakes are higher than ever. Who'll leave us just two weeks before the grand final? ... It's time to face the music!

Recap and videos after the JUMP ...

Round 1

I gotta feeling (Black Eyed Peas) - 6/10 -  While this was a good song for them, I don't think they really did the best they could with it. Margime singing isn't as good as Margime rapping and this performance showed that. The performance was quite weak and very decent sounding, Elli should have sang more than she did. - VIDEO

Isak Danielsson

Ordinary people (John Legend) - 9/10 - How the fuck did he end in the B2 last week? He is by far the star of this show and the fact that people aren't voting for him is disturbing. Ison nailed it with this song, it's exactly what Isak should be doing to showcase his soulful tone. Perfect execution, this should put him back at the top. - VIDEO

Awa Santesson-Sey

You keep me hangin' On (The Supremes) - 6,5/10 - I really think Andreas is clueless about the direction he should be taking Awa. That was the case as well with Frida and Manda, thus they were eliminated early on. Awa keeps covering this old songs and that only exposes her vocal weaknesses. She's got the cute factor though, that's why she's gotten this far. - VIDEO

Benny Hult

If you don't know me by now (Simply Red) - 5/10 - Orup is yet another fail as a mentor. He gets it right one week, bombs the other, bores us the next one. This performance was the latest. I liked the fact that Benny's raspy sound was present on that performance but the arrangement was just weird. His phrasing made it sound choppy and the whole performance was completely flat. I don't see why people are voting for him? He's not exciting, not the best singer and not good looking either, so what is it? - VIDEO

Malcolm Brandin

Bästa som jag vet (Drake) - 5,5/10 - This is a cool remix. Unfortunately, this wasn't as good as the first cover he did. The problem is that this song isn't as exciting as the Petter song he sang before and while he really tried to bring energy to it, he just wasn't able to make it sound cool enough. - VIDEO

Round 2

Starships (Nicki Minaj) - 9/10 - OMG! What happened to Margime's hair? It looks awesome like that, she's like a totally different person. This was a great pick by Marie, it allows Jeremie and Margime to rap and it also lets Elli shine. I admit she didn't sound as good as she usually does tonight but this was a very enjoyable performance either way. Ok, I loved it. - VIDEO

Isak Danielsson

9 to 5 (Dolly Parton) - 7,5/10 - Interesting song choice. Not in a thousand years I would've picked this song for him but I admit it wasn't as awful as I was picturing. It didn't fit, not at all, but Isak's voice was the wonderful thing it normally is. There was a few phrasing things I didn't like, I'm still trying to figure out if that was on purpose or not, but besides than that, this worked pretty well. He should've done something more epic though, after ending in the bottom, this seems like a risky pick. - VIDEO

Awa Santesson-Sey

Crazy in love (Beyoncé) - 8/10 - This is a lot more Awa than the last performance was. I can see her going this way after this show. She's more a performer than a singer after all, so giving her a heavily choreographed performance was probably a good idea. Her voice was surprisingly very good on it as well and I was shocked she didn't forget something. Probably on of her best performances. - VIDEO

Benny Hult

Bed of roses (Bon Jovi) - 6,5/10 - Guess he could get even more boring than he was earlier. He sang two dull slow songs tonight and none of them did him any favours vocally. He sounded a lot better on this one, just because he's phrasing wasn't a choppy mess but he seriously lacks star power. To me, he's just a great karaoke singer. He doesn't have any originality and that's not good. - VIDEO

Malcolm Brandin

Everything is everything (Lauryn Hill)   - 9/10 - A lot better than what he did before. His flow is amazing here and for the first time this season I could understand what he was singing, which is a huge plus. This was a great remix and his rap was wonderful. I imagine he's even better in Swedish, no wonder he's gotten this far. - VIDEO

Bottom 2:

J.E.M.
Malcom Brandin

It's still beyond me how Awa and Benny keep escaping the bottom 2. Malcom comes as a shock, but a rap artist is tough to sell. J.E.M.'s appearance here is predictable, given that Isak got a bump after ending here last week.

J.E.M. - "Airplanes" - Elli sounded better here than she sounded in her past two performances and both Margime and Jeremie sounded extremely good on the rap, mainly because this is so well written. They weren't spot on obviously but they did the best they could. - VIDEO

Malcom Brandin - Wow, that was good! The fighter in him really showed in this performance, he was pouring his heart on it and his anger and intensity really showed there, making for a great tune. I wish it had lasted longer. - VIDEO

Elimination:

Malcom Brandin

Marie couldn't believe it when Andreas casted the decisive vote on Malcom. Her jaw almost got detached from her face. Malcom was clearly pissed about it. The week Malcom decided not to do originals and do remixes, he gets eliminated. That's either very sucky or really good, meaning people really liked his original material, which is a good sign. He could get something out of this, he's talented and seems to have a solid fan base.
