I'm currently looking for some new writers in order to expand the blog given that I can't post the amount of things I'd like to. So if you are interested in writing about anything related to music (news, TV shows, album reviews, introducing artists) just drop me an email to musicisthedoor@gmail.com and we can discuss some of your ideas.

Nicholas Stevenson is an indie artist who has just released his debut album, "Phantom Sweetheart", on October 31 by Hilldrop Records. I got the chance to review this magnific album recently and I'm currently preparing an interview with him, so if you have any questions don't doubt in posting them here. Finally, enjoy my review ....
Read my review and listen "Never in New York City" after the JUMP ...
Buy "Phantom Sweetheart" HERE.
"Phantom Sweetheart" might already be an interesting name and that might be the reason for many people to buy the album, or maybe they'll buy it because it was released on Halloween, very ingenious... But what really catchs my attention is his voice. Nicholas definitely lands in the indie category. An unique and fresh sound which blends into soft ear-candy melodies. And that sound is really hard to find! 2 of 10 singers are able to create the sound niche that Nicholas has and that is really remarkable! But not all is pink here. Nicholas fails to provide enough variety to engage listeners to keep doing so. However, that's the only fault he commited. Leaving that aside and considering this is his firsr album, he've done an amazing job! Take for example "Never in New York City". The song is really incredible, not only does it shows what a good singer he is but it also show his amazing writing skills! Summing up, "Phantom Sweetheart" won't dissapoint any buyer and is a really good first effort but I'd like to see some variety for his second album ...
