I'm currently looking for some new writers in order to expand the blog given that I can't post the amount of things I'd like to. So if you are interested in writing about anything related to music (news, TV shows, album reviews, introducing artists) just drop me an email to musicisthedoor@gmail.com and we can discuss some of your ideas.

I'M LOOKING FOR A HUNGARIAN TRANSLATOR, IF INTRESETED, EMAIL ME
Starting this week, my spanish pal, Tomas, will be recapping the Hungrarian XF for you all. I've not really been following this season, only watched some performances from Alexa and Enikő, but since Tomas offered to recap it, here you have it. This is already the 4th week, so 3 acts have already been eliminated. Judged by Ildikó Keresztes, Feró Nagy, Miklós Malek, and Péter Geszti and hosted by Nóra Ördög, the first season was highly successful and many stars have come from it, including the great Kati Wolf from Eurovision success. So without anymore chatter, here's the new series ...

In a shocking result, Christina Parie left the competition when she found in hersef in the B2 alongside fellow frontrunner Reece Mastin last week. Mel B has no acts left now, proving she's the worst mentor in the show. The top 5 will perform songs by music legends in the hopes of winning one more week in the competition. Who'll be a hit? Who'll be a miss?... It's time to face the music!

Well, I'm back guys! We've all seen that Charlie has been doing a very lousy job, so I'm taking over for the next of the season. At least some acts I hated are already gone by now (Mitchell!!) and this top 6 is actually pretty solid. The remining 6, 1 over, 1 girl, 1 group and 3 boys, will take on Dance tonight so expect a whole lotta fun! (Not really) ... It's time to face the music!

X Factor UK 2011: Top 9 Perform: Club Classics

After last week's tragic results, where two of the best acts, Misha B and Sophie Habibis, ended in the B2, with the latest being eliminated, the remaining 9 contestants will now take on Club Classics, a dated and boring theme. Not one, but two acts will leave the competition this week, so the preassure is higher than ever! Who will be the unlucky two? ... It's time to face the music!

The top 7 will reprise their audition (and slutaudition) performances tonight, hoping they'll be lucky enough to make it to the top 6. It's anybodys game now, cause this is probably one of the best top 7 ever. Who will be sent home tonight? ...

Swedish Week: Introducing: First Aid Kit
12:01 AM

Sisters Johanna and Klara, from the fabulous band, First Aid Kid, are the epitome of Swedish folk music. With their woody, washed-out quirky voices, this duo plays with one's imagination in such a magical way it makes it's listeners travel to dreamy celtic inspired scenarios. Signed to Wichita Recordings/Jagadamba Records, their first album, "The Big Black & The Blue", was released on January 25, 2010 to great critical acclaim, with new album "The Lion's Roar" set for release on early 2012, and I couldn't be more excited! Both sisters have beautiful voices and they are so enchanting, it's no surprise they are such a hit in their native Sweden. Here's hoping they became a worldwide hit!

X Factor US 2011: Top 12 Perform!

Hey everyone! My name is James, known by the online pseudonym of ePastorJames. (Long story, got ordained online just because I could, married my friend to his left hand, crazy times.) This is my first time blogging for "Music Is the Door to Our Soul", but I'm excited to be a part of the blogging team and hope you'll welcome me to this community. I aim to be delightfully snarky and scathingly endearing. Let's see how that goes.
So tonight was the first live voting show of the brand new season/series. And apparently, there didn't seem to be a particular theme anywhere in sight! It was a particularly dreary snoozefest of a show, without any 'wow' moments to lavish praise upon. The mentors, however, did it anyway.
The Top 12 each sang for your votes, but two of these acts will be forced to face-off against one another in the Bottom 2 on the results show. The judges will then vote on which act to send home, and because they savor "buzz", you can expect controversy and drama galore! But for now, let us begin.

It's finally here! The night we have all been waiting for. The Top 17 will perform and only 12 will be standing that make it to the voting rounds. They've gotten this far. Who will rise to the occasion? Who will crumble under the pressure? And who will win a recording contract with Epic Records worth 5 million dollars? ... It's time to face the music!
