I'm currently looking for some new writers in order to expand the blog given that I can't post the amount of things I'd like to. So if you are interested in writing about anything related to music (news, TV shows, album reviews, introducing artists) just drop me an email to musicisthedoor@gmail.com and we can discuss some of your ideas.

Katy Perry is releasing her new album "Teenage Dream" on August 24! The album is her second overall, if we don't count her unsuccesfull first album. Katy said it was a song for California, she said: "What about LA? What about California?. It's been a minute since we had a California song and especially from a girl's perspective. We took the references of Prince, which is always a great reference, and some of the '90s, almost house music references"
Listen to the single and read to my comments after the JUMP ...
California Gurls (Ft. Snoop Dog)
First single of the new album was released on May 7. The song features rapper Snoop Dog, whose vocals were not really needed in this cool song. You know, I hate rap, but I kinda like the duet and some of Snoop's solos. And talking about the real singer, she nailed it. If her all album is like this, it will beat her previous album, which in my opinion wasn't that good.
