Catching Up With: Kandy Rain: New Song: Radio

Former X Factor S6 contestants and stripers, have released a new song via their YouTube channel. After being the first eliminated act, they vowed to stay together, and on January 15, they premiered "Radio". It's actually better than what I expected. I was waiting for a typical girl group much on the Girls Aloud vibe, but I'm actually really digging this song. The girls sound good and I almost feel the quirky Diana Vickers style. Good work!

Catching Up With: Stan Walker: New Singles + Second Album

Australian Idol S7 champ is now about to release his second album, "From the Inside Out", which is expected for August 20, 2010. Teaming with Israel, Audius Mtawarira, Stuart Crichton and Ryan Tedder, the album will be no other thing than an absoulte hit.
Stan has released one single from the album, "Unbroken", and will release "Choose You" as the second on July 23. "Unbroken" was released on April 12 and serves as the lead single. It was written by Ryan Tedder and deals obviously about being unbroken.
I really liked this song. It's a very soulish and powerful Rn'B song, in the unique way only Stan can do it. I can also hear some Hip Hop tunes but in a small proportion. Talking about the music video now, I'm not so sure about it. Overall, it's awesome, but Stan's hair ... WTF? Fire the hairdresser now! Apart from that, perfect!

Maroon 5: Misery Video Premiere

Maroon 5 is planning to release their third album, "Hands All Over" on September 21, 2010. "Misery" was released on June 22 and the music video premiered on June 30. The video features Levine being kicked and kissed by a girl, who acts as a sort of dominatrix. This is the typicall Maroon 5 video, Adam kissing a girl in hot positions, in conclusion this video exudes hotness.

Sara Bareilles: King Of Anything Video Premiere

Sara is getting ready to release her sophomore album "Kaleidoscope Heart" on September 7. Now with the track list released, the only thing left is releasing the album. The music video premiered on June 29, 2010. It was filmed in Vancouver, Canada, and features Sara singing in a number of different places. I'm in love with this video and with this song. Plus, her facial expressions are superb, she totally interprets the song through them! The music video is a masterpice, is beautifully filmed and edited, and I must confess that I'm finding Sara hot because of this, and who said she isn't?.

Catching Up With: Olly Murs: New Song!

Olly Murs was the runner-up on the 6th X Factor series. Since then, he has singed a joint deal with EMI Records and Syco Music. Currentyl working on his debut album expected for September-October, Olly bring us a brand new tune, which will also serve as his first single, set for an August 29 release. "Please Don't Let Me Go" is, as described by Olly, a summer song to sing with the car windows rolled down. And it certainly is. I can feel some reagee, some latin, a bit of pop, and an incredible catchiness. No more comparissons with Robbie, be sure of that Olly!.

Message from Me: New Sections!!

Firstly, you can see that I've made some improves on the blog design and layout. Now it's easier to post a link and I've been doing the artists banners so you can know who I'm talking about easier without reading the article.
Now , the sections!! I've two new sections, which my twitter friend (lilianisabelle) and I developed. Both are in the same root, "Classics". The first one, titled "Classics", will cover the greatest performers of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. The second new section, titled "One-Hit Wonders" will talk about the artist who have only have a single hit.

Interview: Rehyn

Rehyn is one of the new faces of the music business. With an EP under her belt (2008 released "A Time to Fly"), she recently signed a licensing deal with MTV, E!, and Oxygen networks. A peaceful voice with some touches of pure piano magic, I'm confident she'll totally get to you!.
I contacted her some time ago and we made this beautiful interview. She's planning to release a full album later this year, so you'll surely see more of her when this happens!

Catching Up With: Maroon 5

Three years have past since their second album, and now they are back. The first single from their third album, Hands All Over, which will be released on September 21, 2010, is titled "Misery" and it was released on June 22. According to Levine, the band will probably be disbanding after recording another album. It would be a petty, I really enjoy them. But I would like to see what he comes up with! About the song, it's another Maroon 5 classic, really, really great. The song is about Levine finding himself in a difficult situation when a relationship fades. I love the underlying message in the lyrics, but I won't say it to you!

Marina and the Diamonds: Oh No! Video Premiere

Welsh/Greek godess Marina Diamandis will release her fourth single, "Oh No!" on July 26, 2010. The single's video was filmed on June 10 by Kinga Burza. Burza said the concept of the video comes from the lyrics of "Oh No!" which refer to being obsessed with consumerism, success, money and fame. The much comic influenced video shows Marina in different retro dresses and performing odd and quirky dance routines. It made me remember of Andy Warhol's famous Marilyn Monroe painting, I don't really know why, maybe it was her money dress or the comic-like lyrics. I've intended to post a review of her album for a while, and I may end up doing it this week! Coming back to the video, it's just amazing and she looks really pretty!

Fefe Dobson: Ghost Video Premiere

Canadian singer, Fefe Dobson, is coming back from a 7 years hiatus, in which she didn't release any music, with the release of her second album, "Joy" on August 17. Ghost is the second single of it, being released on June 21. The Dobson, Dioguardi and Rudolf penned tune has an incredible concept, it's just perfect. Fefe starts to stalk his boyfriend in dreams after she sees him kissing another girl. It couldn't be better! And the actor is a hottie. I'm really looking forward August 17!
