The beautiful "Someone Like You" has finally get it's music video! The video is quite simple, just shots of Adele walking round Paris in black and white but the amazing vocals of the song match up for the lack of special effects the video has and it's just stunning. I wonder how they managed to make Paris completely desolated, it certainly was quite crowded when I visited, but that's one of the things that make this video even better, you almost feel how lonely she feels and it just makes it simpler and prettier.

Winner of the third season of the finnish Idol in 2007, Anna Abreu has easily became on of the most successful finnish female singers at the moment with her electropop sound that has scored three #1 and a #2 album for her. Her latest album, the disco driven "Rush", was released on March 30, 2011, and it immediatly charted #1 on the finnish charts. "Stereo" is the third single from the album and it also has a wonderful music video to accompany the great upbeat track. With Anna as the rebelious nun in a convent, the mini film includes a hilarious nun choreography and some nun lesbianism, which makes a great story, even if it sounds a little weird ...

Danish RnB singer Nabiha is getting ready for her debut album "Cracks" international release, now titled as "More Cracks", after her move to Sony. Including 4 new songs, all being in rotation on Danish radios, Nabiha is now ready to take the world by storm with her unique and fresh sound. The new single is titled "Trouble"and let's face it, it's bloody great. It reminds me a lot to her debut single, "Deep Sleep", which is probably one of the best songs she's put out. Well, this is as great as it. Her vocals are flawless, the song is really catchy and the video is powerful! One of the best songs I've heard in a while.

Danish-Norwegian band Aqua is finally back after almost 11 years without new albums since their 2000 release Aquarius. And in case you are wondering, yes, they are the ones behind "Barbie Girl", which is their most known song to date. They split in 2001, only to come back together in 2007 realizing that they are ment to be together. Their third album "Megalomania" is just days away from their October 3 release and it'll definitely feature many of the sounds that made this band famous. The electropop dance sounds are higly predominant in their single "Playmate to Jesus" and the toyish voices in "How R U Doing?" remind of their classic sound. But it's their latest release "Playmate to Jesus" which shows a lot of promise. It doesn't remind of their previous material and it shows a much more mature sound and band, plus it's a great change! Will "Megalomania" be their big comeback after all? Well, we'll know soon but things look good for them.

XF 2010 winner Matt Cardle is back with probably one of the best debut singles by any of the previous XF winners, besides Leona's "Bleeding Love". I was a fan of Matt during his XF run, yeah, I didn't want him to win it all but he's definitely a really talented singer and performer. "Run For Your Life" is his major debut following his successful Xmas #1 winner's single. Will this song score another #1 for the young star? Well, it looks like it will. The song was written by new XF judge Gary Barlow and is set for release on October 7, being followed by the album release, "Letters", one week later on the 14. The song is definitely in Matt's vibe, it's a really cool soulish sound and Matt's voice sounds amazing throughout the whole tune. Some of the notes do sound a little too strained but that's what made Matt popular during the XF, so why not including that in his album? I'm not ashamed to say I'm excited for his album ...

We've got some new music from the wonderful danish starlet Medina! She's probably one of the most successful new artists in the past year, with 4 of her singles going #1 in Denmark and her major debut coming at #2. She's now releasing her latest effort, "For Altid", an all danish album which reminds us how great she is, plus she's also debutting her new single "Synd For Dig" music video. The album's first single of the same name gave us a taste of what the album was gonna sound like, well, this is much better! Usually I'm not an electro person, I tend to run away from it, the monotony of the sounds and the drums machines kinda drive me crazy. But that's not the case with Medina or her music. Her voice has such a freshness and an icey sound that it manages to take a away all the tediousness that this kind of music generates, all combined with her always improving lyrics, each time adding even more layers to her talent. So just give her a chance and if you already had, enjoy this wonderful album!

Having dissapeared after her latest release, "The Tear Collector", in 2009, who knows what masterpiece Marit is working on at the moment. One thing is a fact, she's one of Sweden's most valuable singer of the past 10 years, with two of her albums being a #1 hit, earning her two Swedish Grammies. While she describes herself as a mix of Madonna, Mary J Blige and Sonic Youth, for some odd reason, her sound is more resambling to fellow swede Anna Ternheim with her folky pop driven tunes and her almost ethereal voice, not to mention her beautiful lyrics. I wonder when she'll make her comeback, cause I fear people may start forgetting her by now. On the other side, she may be focusing on her family, cause she had a son recently but we need a new album desperately, so she may want to speed that up ...

Being signed by Warner Music, The Moniker released his debut album, "Maktub" on May 23, 2011, and back then, soon after his Melodifestivalen run, he was nice enough to answer some questions for me. She may have not won the final season of Nouvelle Star, but Lussi's carrer didn't end after her failed attempt in the competition. Having placed 4th, the hard rocker chick went on to record an EP under the name Lussi In The Sky, and the eponymous EP was released a few months after her run on the show, on May 23, 2011. The album didn't make any major buzz in the charts, with the single "Whole Lotta Love", which she made one of her signature songs during her NS stint, only charting at #115. However, the EP showed us exactly what type of artist she is, a rock songstress. And let's face it, that's not much a surprise coming from her.

Always extravagant Luce, winner of the final edition of Nouvelle Star, released her debut album, Première Phalange, with Sony Music, this past June 20, and even though I was really excited about this album, I completely forgot to post about it, not really sure why. So I'm doing it now, almost three months after it's release. Luce proved to be very successfull with her album charting at #11 and then appearing on the charts at multiple positions. There's something about her music that it's really cautivating, there's a humorous theme in her lyrics, plus her music videos are hilarious. And there's no denying this girl has a great voice! Her latest single "Moyen Moyenne", with MaxBoublil, was released just days ago, on September 2, and despite his voice isn't great, Luce manages to make the single listenable enough, and again, gives us an amazing video for it!

Linnea has without a doubt the most quirky voice I ever heard, up to the point where people may confuse her vocal greatness to simple mediocrity. Coming 4th was definitely a dissapointment for her, but things were looking great for her ... She singed a record deal with Sony and her debut single, the outstanding out of this world "Väldigt Kär/Obegripligt Ensam" was released, charting at a surprising #13, which is really great conisdering the lack of promotion she's been getting. Things look great for this young amazing artist, and if she keeps impressing with her originality and unique musical style, I see her going really far ...

The track is definitely a dance tune with lots of electro influences and despite it focuses more on being catchy than on the vocal aspect, the track succeeds to show what the girls can give.
