X Factor Australia 2011: Top 7 Perform: Australian Hits

The Top 8 performed last week and we said goodbye to Young Men Society after seeing them go into deadlock against Declan Sykes in what was a shocking bottom two. A lot of people like these guys but I thought most of their performances were boring and cheesy. I'm glad Declan got a second chance, he showed major improvement in "Forever Young" and deserved to stay. The theme is "Australian Hits", who will be an Australian hit tonight? ... It's time to face the music!

X Factor Australia 2011: Top 8 Perform: Number-One Hits

Last week we said goodbye to Audio Vixen, who were in the bottom two alongside Johnny Ruffo. While Audio Vixen's vocal performances were amazing, their stage presence was lacking and a few odd song choices probably didn't help them either. I guess it's the Pia Toscano effect. Tonight, the remaining acts will perform number-one hit songs in hopes of winning another week in the competition. Who will impress? ... It's time to face the music!

Mel lost yet another girl last week when Jacqui Newland found herself in the bottom for the third time along YMS. Despite the elimination was a little unfair, Jacqui hasn't been delivering strong performances since her first final showdown and the elimination was just a matter of time for her. Tonight the remaining contestants will sing 90s hits in order to win another week in the competition. Who will shine? Who will disappoint? ... It's time to face the music!

X Factor Australia 2011: Top 10 Perform: Rock

Last week it was Tyla Bertolli's turn to say goodbye when she found herself in the Bottom 2 alongside Jacqui Newland, who was once more saved by the judges, this time by Mel, who decided to eliminate her own act for the competition. The final 10 will now be singing "rock" songs, which are actually not rock enough, but well, the theme is supposed to be rock. Who will nail it tonight? ... It's time to face the music!

The top 12 performed last week and it was Cleo Howman who said goodbye after a luckluster sing-for-your-life performance against Jacqui Newland. She was my favourite in this competition and now I'm a bit lost on who I should back now. Tonight it's "Party Anthems", in one of the worst themes ever and the contestants will be forced to sing sucky songs. Who will fail? Who won't suck? ... It's time to face the music!

The Audition, Bootcamp and Judges Houses stages are finally over and now is when the competition truly starts! The Top 12 were announced and after many tears, the "best" have been select for the live performances. But remember, only one will be victorious after this. Who will shine? Who will dissapoint? ... It's time to face the music!
