I'm currently looking for some new writers in order to expand the blog given that I can't post the amount of things I'd like to. So if you are interested in writing about anything related to music (news, TV shows, album reviews, introducing artists) just drop me an email to musicisthedoor@gmail.com and we can discuss some of your ideas.

Little Mix: "DNA" Video
21 October, 2012 5:16 PM
Published by MDS
With their album set to hit the stores on November 19, the XF UK S8 winners are debuting their sophomore single, the title track of their album, "DNA". While the song will be released on November 11, the music video is already available. The girls may have tricked you to believe they are innocent cute little girls but they are anything but sweet on this Sin City looking new video. The song, which was co-written by the girls, sounds a lot like their XF "ET" performance, which was by far one of their best during the season, with it's synth pop gothic style and the powerful vocals, that make the song interesting and different from anything other girlbands have released before. Given that their first single "Wings", which debuted at #1, became the best selling group single of 2012 and since "DNA" is a much better track, I'm confident it'll also become a hit.

Little Mix: "We Are Young" Cover

The XF champs are just a few months away from the release of their upcoming debut album and if it sounds as this cover, they've got a hit in their hands. The girls recently released a video of an acoustic cover of fun.'s "We Are Young", showing they don't need autotune when it comes to their singing. They didn't do any major reworking on the song but their voices sounded so heavenly on it that it made up for it. It's just a beautifuly done cover, so just sit back and enjoy.

Little Mix: "Wings" Music Video
06 August, 2012 9:42 PM

Tulisa's Little Muffins have finally unveiled their debut music video! Well, it actually happened a weeks ago but you all know I've been a little busy. "Wings" will hit the stores on August 26 in an attempt to promote it when the XF Season 8 premieres. The song is full of sass and I bet it surprised some people who were expecting a typical girlband tune. Many XF winners have failed to find the right post-XF launching single, with the last two winners, Matt Cardle and Joe McElderry, being oversahdowed by their runner-ups. However, Little Mix seems to be the opposite case. With almost 3 million views, their funky debut single is on course for success, while runner-up Marcus Collins seems to be flopping already. The question now is if the album will be as good as "Wings" and if so, they'll be following One Direction footsteps very soon.

Drama queen Kitty Brucknell was finally eliminated last week and now the top 6 is villanless. Kitty proved to be one of the most entertaining acts of the series but she had never warmed enough to the public. But a 7th place is really respectable, a place which past villan Katie Waissel achived last year. Now, the remaining 6 will take on songs from the movies in one of the most repetitive themes ever! Who'll be a blockbuster? Who'll be a flop? ... It's time to face the music!

This's been a fantastic week! After the dreadful Johnny Robinson and ill fated manufactured boyband The Risk were eliminated, Frankie Cocozza, the worst and most disgusting act that has ever touch this stage, was kicked out of the show after breaking a "golden rule", drug (cocaine) use. So now, with one place available, the producers have decided to give one of the contestants the chance to return. Since 2 Shoes, Amelia Lily, James Michael and Jonjo Kerr have never faced the public vote, people will now be able to bring one of them back to replace Frankie, in the most unfair twist yet. Plus, the top 7 will perform Gaga/Queen songs tonight. Who will come back? Who will shine? ... It's time to face the music!
