Last week, the remaining 9 contestants took on the biggest hits of right now, resulting on the elimination of one of Foo's girls, Ellie Lovegrove, who faced JTR in the B2. The top 8 will now perform rock songs. Is this finally the week cocky Ronan loses one of his precious acts or will his unbelievable massive ego keep growing? ... It's time to face the music!

After a disappointing Slutauditions final challenge, the judges narrowed the remaining contestants down to 20, leaving us with a mostly good bunch of semi-finalists. During the week, they'll perform live for the first time in order to win the public's vote and impress the judges enough to earn a wildcard spot in case they don't make the cut. Who'll be the shining star of the week?

After a strong season saw Tate Steven's win over Carly Rose Sonenclar and Fifth Harmony (Yeah I'm not really sure how that one came about either) to win the 2012 US X Factor, the show now returns to us, hopefully stronger than ever. LA Reid and Britney Spears have left the panel and been replaced by Latina pop princess Paulina Rubio and ex-Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland. They join Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato in the search for America's next big popstar. ...

So as we reach the end of auditions, the live shows are looking ever more within our reach. Because of the new double audition format, we only have to wait 3 weeks before live shows begin meaning that in a fortnight's time we will find out the Top 12. Tonight, the remaining contestants audition in front of an arena having already impressed the judges in the room auditions. Some will thrive, some will fall apart but who will stand out?

Just in case you're wondering, no you haven't travelled forward in time by three months, it's still 2013! However, whilst The X Factor takes up our screens for the next few months, BBC1's rival to the singing competition, The Voice UK doesn't want to be forgotten that easily so they have made quite a few big announcements in the past few weeks. With Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue quitting after two series in the red chairs, two new coaches are set to join the panel. Who? Scroll down to find out.

So after probably the weakest room auditions show so far, we have a number of new contenders for the crown with boyband Kingsland, returnees Rough Copy and Steph Woods and youngster Giles Potter all potential live show contestants. However, of course they still have to impress the audience so will they and many more manage to win over the audience in the arena?

The auditions finally came to an end and now, the remaining 119 contestants must face the hardest challenge yet, the Slutauditions. In the next 4 days they'll have to give their everything in order to impress the judges. Who'll make it to the semi-finals? Who won't step up to the challenge?

The talent on the show so far has been fairly decent although arena auditions has already seen the departure of a few of the favourites such as Luke Britnell. I'm looking forward to seeing who else will emerge this year with the groups category severely underrepresented so far.

The pressure is on for the contestants to impress the audience after they impressed the judges last night in the rooms. Will returnees Melanie, Jade and Amy manage to come up trumps? Will Abi prove Louis wrong as she takes a risk with an original song and will Relley C live up to the hype that I have given her after her superb first audition? Find out the answer to all the questions and more in the rant/article/collection of vaguely strung together words below!

Last week, the top 11 took on the greatest legends of all time. With Jiordan and Dami stealing the show, it was Cat Vas the latest act eliminated from the competition when she had to face Joelle in the B2. 10 remain and tonight, they'll be taking on, wait for it, Top 10 hits. We had a pretty solid start to the series last week with a few stand-out auditionees such as Sam Bailey, Tamera and Hannah Barrett. This week's auditions promise to be even more jam-packed with three returning contestants and a whole bunch of hopefuls who feel that they have what it takes to get through two rounds of auditions. Will we see the familiar faces making it through second, or in some cases fourth time lucky?

Idol rises from the ashes. After being replaced by The X Factor Sweden last year, which was not only a ratings flop but an overall disappointment, the show that brought us Loreen, Darin, Danny Saucedo, Agnes, Linnea Henriksson, Amanda Fondell, Robin Stjernberg and multiple others is back for another round. Will we find a new star this time?

After impressing the judges last night in the room auditions, the successful auditionees have a second hurdle to overcome before they can make it to bootcamp. Everyone who made it through the room auditions now performs in front of an audience in Wembley Arena as well as facing the judges once more. Only those who overcome their nerves and give a strong performance in front of the crowd will be able to make it through to bootcamp. So, will Hannah, Luke, Sam and more impress for a second time.

You will probably have already noticed the adverts but for those living under a rock, the tenth series of 'The X Factor' begins this weekend with a number of changes. First of all, goodbye to Tulisa, welcome back to Sharon Osborne who is returning to the panel for the first time since 2007 when she departed the show and was replaced by Cheryl Cole. Meanwhile, with that in mind, the room auditions have returned in a 'back to basics' syle makeover for the show. However, in a twist the auditionees have to face both the traditional room auditions and the arena auditions with auditions being screened on both Saturday and Sunday nights from the beginning. The Saturday night will see auditionees face the judges in the room whilst those who make it through those auditions will singing in front of the audience in the arena on the Sunday night to get through to bootcamp.
