We were presented to a revamped bootcamp last week. The addition of the duos added some drama to the show, with loads of artists forgetting their lyrics, but it also brought some unfairness. The top 24 will move on to the JH tonight, with only 12 moving on to the liveshows. Who'll shock us? Who'll crumble under the pressure? ... It's time to face the music!

Musical TV shows are extremely popular right now. There's Idol, The Voice, The X Factor and many many more. A very interesting show is The Glee Project. A Glee spin off, TGP is slowly becoming even better and more exciting than his bigger brother.
It's a crossover between musical and reality show full of bright young talents. The winner gets a role in Glee, the others a chance for the world to see them. And I wanted you to see this year's fan favourite, Nellie Veitenheimer, who happens to be my own favourite too.

Last week two of Andreas's girls found themselves in the bottom 2. Molly Sanden's sister Frida and Manda faced each other in the sing off, with the four judges deciding to keep Manda over Frida. Only 9 contestants remain in the competition and by the end of the night, only 8 will continue. Or will they? ... It's time to face the music!

Another week, another slightly disappointing result as MK1 left us against Kye sones in the sing-off but hopefully Halloween week will finally see some of the deadwood such as Rylan head home. However, already, it's not without its' controversies as an announcement this afternoon revealed that Lucy Spraggan will receive a bye into next week's show because of an illness. Diana Vickers anyone? It's Time To Face The Music!

Dublin brothers Harry and Alfie Hudson-Taylor have been uploading videos to Youtube, and gigging on a small scale for a number of years now, and it seems it's paying off. From starting out busking on the streets (...or poles and bins in Harry's case!) of Dublin, and uploading videos to Youtube, to now being included in the line-up for the Cheerios Childline Concert 2012, is some achievement.

This isn't my favourite stage of competition, if I'm honest. Too much
is going on in a short amount of time, we're always missing someone
and a lot of people forget the lyrics and many people fail (it hurts to
watch such things from someone we fell in love with). But no matter how I feel, the contestants still need to face this stage of the competition. Who'll survive and move on to the JH, who'll fail miserably? ... It's time to face the music!

X Factor UK 2012: Top 11 Perform: Club Classics

Well the show really is digging its' own grave at the moment isn't it? After a promising start, they ditched Carolynne and then last week, Melanie, two amazing acts gone in two weeks over two ridiculous acts, Rylan and District 3. It doesn't help that Louis and now Tulisa seem to think the 'sing-off' doesn't really hinge on the singing part. Melanie literally blew District 3 off the stage and then some more in her sing for survival yet apparently we'd much rather see dull, old-fashioned, generic boybands than bluesy, authentic rock and soul singers like Melanie who was also very likable and down to earth. Anyway, we also have to lay some of the blame to the teenagers who are using the new, ridiculous voting system to get their votes in for all the 'well fit' teenage singers. Obviously and sadly, ears don't develop fully in puberty until they age of about 16 or 17. Anyway, moving on, we still have a few stand-outs like Jade and James left, if either leave tonight, I'm going to throw something at my TV hoping it will go through the screen and knock one of the producers out. With club classics being tonight's theme, how relevant will the songs be? Not very relevant is the answer. Expect to hear Lucy singing original song 'Club Song', Jahmene belting out 'I Will Always Love You' and District 3 tackling club classic 'One Thing'. Oops, think I let the cat out of the bag ... It's Time To Face The Music!

Little Mix: "DNA" Video

With their album set to hit the stores on November 19, the XF UK S8 winners are debuting their sophomore single, the title track of their album, "DNA". While the song will be released on November 11, the music video is already available. The girls may have tricked you to believe they are innocent cute little girls but they are anything but sweet on this Sin City looking new video. The song, which was co-written by the girls, sounds a lot like their XF "ET" performance, which was by far one of their best during the season, with it's synth pop gothic style and the powerful vocals, that make the song interesting and different from anything other girlbands have released before. Given that their first single "Wings", which debuted at #1, became the best selling group single of 2012 and since "DNA" is a much better track, I'm confident it'll also become a hit.

Nicole Sabouné: "Unseen Footage From A Forthcoming Funeral" Video

You might remember Nicole from her recent stint on The Voice of Sweden's inaugural season. She was one of Ola Salo's acts and got to the semi-finals thanks to her quirky style. With the help of her mentor, Nicole presents us her debut single, "Unseen Footage From A Forthcoming Funeral", which was composed by The Ark's frontman himself and released this past October 17. But if you are expecting the indie goddess that wowed us with her
heart wrenching performances, prepare yourself to be disappointed. That doesn't mean that this isn't a little gem, it's just something completely different from what you, and I, were expecting. It's a quick-paced alternative rock track, presented in a very Lana Del Rey-ish way, with a black and white music video with lots of footage, which sounds about right looking at the song's title. Nicole's range has always been impressive and here her voice's also got a sassy punk I've never seen on her before. Add to that the surprising catchiness of this song, and you could have a hit.

The Voice has infected a lot of countries like a virus. The idea itself is so beautifully simple, celebrate the voice, no matter how the person looks like. I often wish we'd be able not to see the contestants either but that wouldn't be good TV, maybe a good idea for a radio show? Let's introduce our coaches. First we have Dima Bilan (Дима Билан), who represented Russia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 and won it in 2008 in Belgrade. He's joined by Leonid Agutin (Леонид Агутин), a Russian singer-songwriter and Alexander Gradskiy (Александр Градский), a Russian rock legend. The judges panel is completed by Pelageya (Пелагея), a folk singer and the only female judge. Ok, let's start now!

Marie's group NJOY was the first act eliminated during last week's result show, which saw the girlband facing Freja Modin during the sing-off. The judges supported the blond singer, who eventually made it through to the Top 11. Well, also have Eurovision 2012 winner Loreen performing her newest single "Crying Out Your Name" tonight, so watch out for that! ... It's time to face the music!

Carmelo Munzone returned to the competition only to be eliminated three weeks later, but that's better than not even being a finalist, right? The theme for tonight is the 80s, which despite being completely boring, doesn't seem to be disappearing anytime soon. Will someone succeed at reworking a classic? Will we witness another trainwreck? ... It's time to face the music!

Well what can be said about last week's show other than that it was shameful? What an absolute farce, there's no way in hell that Carolynne deserved to go and certainly not in thos circumstances, against Rylan of all people. I need not just blame the public alone as obviously producers knew what they had to do to produce the desired result, change the voting format so people can vote for their favourites before anyone has sung, give her a strange VT, make her sing a country version of a dance-pop song and then make sure the most gullible judge takes the vote to deadlock. Unless you haven't noticed, I'm not very pleased. Hopefully tonight, as the remaining twelve contestants perform 'Love And Heartbreak' songs, we see the RIGHT result come tomorrow night, I won't be holding my breath.

Voice - Danmarks største stemme Season 2: The Blind Auditions

The Voice of Denmark is back for a second shorter season. Lene Nystrøm, Sharin Foo and L.O.C. are returning to the judging panel, with Steen Jørgensen leaving and being replaced by Danish singer Xander. An interesting fact, Xander is Anne Linnet's son, who'll be joining the Danish XF next year. Host Morten Resen is also out, with Felix Smith, who has hosted the Danish Melodi Grand Prix on three occasions, 2009, 2010 and 2011; stepping in. But don't be tricked, just because the season will be shorter it doesn't mean that the talent will be worse, in fact, I'm sure that we'll get an even more talented bunch of contestants this time around. It's Denmark after all! ... This is The Voice!

Hello my fellow XF enthusiasts, I'm Olia from Ukraine and I'm gonna be writing the recaps for the XF Ukranie's third season. First of all, I'd like to introduce the judging panel. My favourite judge is Sergey Sosedov (Сергей Соседов), a music critic who's openly gay (it's not a common thing in Ukraine or Russia). You can either love him or hate him but you can't be indifferent. His comments are beautifully unpredictable - we've seen musical lectures, fangirling and long passionate speeches. The second best judge is Seryoga (Серёга), a successful Belorussian rapper, highly charismatic, who often makes poems or slogans of acts and judges. He was also the winner of the second season, with Victor Romanchenko from the Overs. The other judges are Igor Kondratyuk (Игорь Кондратюк), who is also a judge in Ukraine's Got Talent, and Irina Dubcova (Ирина Дубцова), a former music reality contestant. So without more talking, let's get right into the action ... It's time to face the music!

Last weeks result show was sublime. Justin Standley was finally sent home when he faced judges fave Angel Tupai in the B2, leaving us with an almost perfect Top 9. We still need to get rid of Jason, but there's always time for that tonight. The theme this week is "legends", much like the heroes theme on the XF UK first liveshow. We'll have Madonna, Coldplay, The Beatles and much more today, you don't want to miss it! ... It's time to face the music!

There were no major shockers during bootcamp, with most of the fan favourites making it through. Now the remaining 24 contestants will be joining their mentors at their houses. The Girls will be mentored by Andreas who'll be helped by Axwell from Swedish House Mafia, the Boys by Ison with the support of Stor and Leona Lewis, the Overs by Orup joined by Eric Gaad and the Groups will be coached by Marie who's getting help from EMD. Will the judges make the right decision? Will your faves move on to the liveshows? ... It's time to face the music!

Kody realized he couldn't really recap the show as he committed to do, so I'll be taking over the writing duties for both The Voice and The XF US this season, but if anyone is interested in the job, I'll be more than glad to hand it over. I don't eventually feature the unsuccessful auditionees but since Kody's been doing it, I'll also do it. So that's basically why this episode's been posted so late. ... This is The Voice!

The late 1980’s, early 1990’s, was a major era in the transformation of music, we all know that. But why? Although Nirvana weren’t completely original and not the first to do what they did, people listened. They, above anyone else, had the ability to shock an audience This is what Kurt did, it was what he was born to do, and still, today, the further we get from Kurt’s death, the more bands we can find like Nirvana.

We were in for a major shocker last week when judges favourite What About Tonight ended in the bottom 2 with Over Nathaniel Willemse. The judges decided to go to deadlock, revealing that WAT had received the least amount of votes, thus leaving the competition. The Top 10 will be singing, coincidentally, top 10 hits. Who end up being a one hit wonder? ... It's time to face the music!
