The Voice Of Ireland: Season 1: Top 4 - The Final - Perform!

So who would have thought it, it's now the final of The Voice Of Ireland, a few months later and we now have just four acts remaining and pretty soon, Universal Ireland will have one extra artist on their label. Will it be country singer Jim Devine from Team Kian, rocker Pat Byrne from Bressie's team, opera singer Vanessa from Sharon's team or Brian's resident crooner Richie Hayes? We don't have long to wait until one of the four is crowned the winner. Let the night begin!

Aiden Grimshaw: "Is This Love" First Listen

If you followed the XF S7 on this blog, then you must know that Aiden was a big fave of mine during his run on the show. S7 was, without a doubt, one of the most successful seasons yet, giving us Matt Cardle, Cher Lloyd, One Direction and Rebecca Ferguson. I think it's a safe bet to add Aiden to that list. Instead of rushing like some of his fellow contestants, Aiden took his time to record his debut single, "Is This Love", which will be released on June 3 via RCA, followed by his album, "Misty Eye" on August 13. The song is of Diana Vickers's "One" proportions and is probably one of the best post XF singles I've seen. Aiden's very aware of his musicality and it shows in the song, with it's strong and dramatic melody. Props for him! I can't wait for the album!

The Voice UK Season 1: The Battle Rounds!

It's the all important Battle Rounds stage right now as the fourty remaining contestants battle it out to get through to the live shows stage. So far, a lot of the acts have been great but my picks for the top at the minute are Max Milner, Joelle Moses, Toni Warne, Ruth Brown, Bo Bruce and Sophie Griffin. There are many more I could name but that's who stands out so far. I suppose we'll have to wait and see how the decisions and performances pan out.

Stefano Langone: "I'm On A Roll" First Listen

AI S10 7th placer is back to make us all cringe. Stefano unexplicablly made it way further than he should have last season and despite not being able to sing in tune, he kicked out pitch perfect, but snoozefest, Pia Toscano and other better finalists like Paul McDonald, Naima Adedapo and Thia Megia. Now, signed by Hollywood Records, home of Disney stars, Stefano is releasing his post idol effort, "I'm On A Roll". The song is way better than I expected but still bloody tragic. No more comments needed. What do you think?

Laleh: "Vårens Första Dag" Music Video

I LOVE Laleh. I've stated that multiple times throughout the year. The girl's been doing a flawless job lately! Conquering the world charts with her #1 album "Sjung", performing all around the world and on top on that, charming Sweden with her beautiful self on national TV in her "Så mycket bättre" stunt earlier in the year. Her newest single is "Vårens Första Dag", which follows the gorgeous "Some Die Young", probably one of the best songs of this 2012. The song has grown to be my fave after some listens and now that a music video for it has been released I love it even more. It's quite a sunny song, if you get what I mean. Things are certainly looking bright for Laleh ...
Erik Hassle: "Stay" Music Video

Swedish soul singer is making his comeback after his highly successful debut album, "Hassle", back in 2009. Penned by Malin Dahlström of Niki & The Dove greatness, Erik's new single is titled "Stay" and it's a mellow emotional ballad, which will serve as the lead single of his sophomore album, "We Dance", due out later in the year. Honestly, I've missed the "Hurtful" hitmaker recently so I'm more than glad to see him releasing new material. The music video of "Stay" hit the net back on April 21, as if the song wasn't already beautiful enough by itself. Must watch stuff ...

Things didn't work out with Nuespo, so I'm taking over The Voice Norge recaps from now on. I've missed the battles but I'm just in time for the liveshows! Just 20 contestants remain as of now, and despite some loses, such as Tone-Yvonne S. Hansen and Kathrine Fuglien, it's a safe bet to say that we've got a quite strong top 20. Tonight, Team Yosef and Team Magne will take the stage, and 2 contestants from each team will be waving goodbye. Who'll stand out? Who'll fade into darkness? ... This is The Voice!

Sadly, I think he went home on one of his best performances but at least it was on a good note, I guess. This next week, the remaining Idol contenders take on Songs from 2010 to the present. So we're finally reaching the later stages of the competition, just eight acts remain and pretty soon, it'll be one act per coach as the final four are chosen by the public. At the minute, my hopes aren't so high although Vanessa and Conor both have potential however Brian's team in particular is looking weak. I'm looking forward to see if everyone can step it up tonight and really deliver because for four of them, it'll be the door.

I'm still not quite happy about the departure of Sinead and Elliot in the last week leaving my least favourite three of Brian's original six remaining, it's just not my luck. After Conor's almost world-class performance last show, can anyone compete with him? Can Kiera survive to make Bressie's semi-final and can Brian convert me into liking any of his acts? Right after the Blind auditions came to an end, The Battles were previewed and unlike the american version, they'll last just two days. In the next weekend, the remaining 40 contestants will battle it out for a place in the liveshows, with only 5 of each team making it. The Voice UK Season 1: The Blind Auditions!

After what seems like an eternity of the press speculating over which celebrities would be joining the panel of the BBC's UK version of worldwide talent show 'The Voice', we finally have the premiere of the series. Judging the talent from the comfort of their rediculously high-tec swinging chairs will be chart topper and quite loud Jessie J, will.i.am (that's William to anyone with an aversion to rediculous names) from Black Eyed Peas, Welsh crooner Tom Jones (did you know that he was in Hawaii with Elvis? Me Neither) and that Irish man from a band who isn't Bono, Danny O'Donoghue from The Script, ironic name for a band considering some of the lines in the first episode *cough* Tom Jones rhyming off the years that he topped the charts *cough* are quite clearly taken from this. But enough of that, the show is all about the 'voice' (incase you don't know or have amnesia, the coaches kindly remind us every ten seconds) and with that in mind the talent is what I will be concentrating on (that and how many times an episode Tom Jones mentions Elvis Presley).

Robin Stjernberg: "On My Mind" Music Video

Idol Sweden's S8 runner up is unleashing his first post Idol oringinal single, following his cover album "My Versions", a compilation of his Idol performances. You probably remember me being very critical of Robin towards the end of the season but thankfully, "On My Mind" has nothing to do with the big diva we saw on Idol. Instead, it sounds like something Adam Lambert or the very Kelly Clarkson would release. While Robin is much better than Adam, the glam pop/rock sound is much present in Robin's first effort. Signed to Universal Records's Lionheart Music Group, Robin is expected to release his second album, now an all originals one, later in the year, as a follow up of his #1 debut. Also worth mentioning, get a very special look at Amanda Persson on his debut music video!

It took quite a while but almost two months after it aired, I finally wrote the final recap of the season! Four contestants, Mary N'diaye, Elie Bauduin, Nicole Sabouné and Clara Sagström, three of them great ones, left the show last week, leaving Ulf, Dennis, Mojo and Ninni to battle for the crow. Who'll be The Voice Sverige winner?! ... This is The Voice!

About an year ago, Javier Colon was crowned the winner of the US version of The Voice. Now, one year later, a whole new bunch of hopefuls are hoping to take the ultimate prize home and get that very special Universal record deal. All the four judges are returning this season, as well as the host. The auditions proved to be quite successful rating wise and also talent wise, so let's see if the same applies to this stage. Team Blake and Team Xtina will perform this week ... This is The Voice!

With Charlie gone for a week, I'm once again taking over the Idol recap duties. Eight remain now that Heejun Han (comic relief of the season but clearly the weak link regarding vocal talent) is gone and they'll tackle songs from the 80s, with Gwen Stefani and Tony Kanal from No Doubt mentoring the contestants. Note that this will be my first time commenting on this kids this year, so my comments may not be entirely on their performances. Who'll move one step closer to the Idol crown? This... Is American Idol!

Last week saw the exit of two great contestants in Kellie and Graham whilst Liam and Kevin who I wasn't as keen on stuck around. So with just one more show after this one before the semi-finals, it's still all to play for on each of the teams. Tonight, the eight remaining contestants from Team Kian and Team Sharon will perform for the third time and again, one contestant from each team of four will be sent home by their mentor. I just sincerely hope the right people go home for once. Let's see what happens.

We're slowly but surely reaching the climax of the first series of 'The Voice Of Ireland' and with sixteen acts now remaining, it's time for Bressie and Brian's remaining four contestants to perform for the third time. After Claire O'Loughlin went out in a shocking decision from Brian two weeks ago, let's hope he doesn't mess things up again tonight. And, after appearing in the bottom two last week alongside Jessica, will Kiera Byrne be able to survive tonight's elimination? So far, Sinead, Conor and Kiera are the only three from Brian and Bressie's teams respectively (Conor and Kiera are both Team Bressie) who have made a big impression on me so I'm hoping neither of them goes anywhere tonight.

It was an interesting week with the elimination of comic relief Heejun Han. And surely, it will only get more interesting as most of the contestants left are top tier or were top tier at some point. Hollie survived a near-shock elimination, which means the Save is still up for grabs. We're going to be seeing some crazy results in the future. It's going to be so dramatic and unpredictable, I'm almost not looking forward to it. Anyway, here are this coming weeks rankings!
