I'm currently looking for some new writers in order to expand the blog given that I can't post the amount of things I'd like to. So if you are interested in writing about anything related to music (news, TV shows, album reviews, introducing artists) just drop me an email to musicisthedoor@gmail.com and we can discuss some of your ideas.

I'M LOOKING FOR A SWEDISH TRANSLATOR, IF INTRESETED, EMAIL ME
Denise Azemi Brasjö waved goodbye when she failed to achive enough public support and became the second finalist, and wildcard, to be eliminated from the competition. Only 8 remain now and the contestants are singing some hits tonight! Who will a miss? ...
Recap after the JUMP ...
You can watch the full episode HERE (using what I explained in the comments) All the performances videos are taken from the Idol site too.
Amanda Fondell
Jolene (Dolly Parton) - 9/10
- This is like the perfect song for her. It's not my favourite performance of hers but there was something captivating there. She's definitely one of the most talented finalists this year and most importantly she's different. Who wants another typical pop singer? No one ... Amanda is everything this show needs! As you see, I'm a bit biased with her. Haha. - VIDEO
Emil Elton
Cry Me a River (Justin Timberlake) - 5/10
- He's doing the weird dancing again and though it's quite atypical, he just looks so unnatural and very uncomfortable, I guess that's how he feels cause he's got no expression. I don't get why he keeps doing that! It's getting old now Emil ... This rendition is not particulary good, not that the song he's covering is but his vocals aren't shining through on this one. - VIDEO
Linni Barresjö
Angels (Robbie Williams) - 4/10
- Linni is just icky. She has some talent but compared to the others, she's got zero talent. She's got very poor vocals and I don't think she'll get better than this. She needs to go or Sweden will get their own Sarah ... - VIDEO
Molly Pettersson Hammar
Only Girl in the World (Rihanna) - 7/10
- I was expecting her to do the Ellie Goulding version, or something much slower than this, not the Rihanna electro type. The girl's got an exceptional voice but this performance is like making Joss Stone sing a disco tune, no good things will came out of that. And that's exactly what happened. - VIDEO
André Zuniga-Asplund
Tiny Dancer (Elton John) - 8,5/10
- After last week's major bummer, André needs to bring us something exciting and interesting. I belive he's done exactly that tonight. He finally picked a suitable song and the slow tempo really helped him making stand out his voice. And he also got a little teary, aw! Something was wrong with him though, as Pär took his place when the judges were giving him their comments. I wonder what happened ... - VIDEO
Amanda Persson
Heroes (David Bowie) - 8/10
- Not a fan of this song, it's really cheesy and it makes me think about war heroes, thanks XF for that. Haha. I do think Amanda did a great interpretation of it though, it's exactly the type of songs she should be singing but she needs to bring something more contemporary next week. - VIDEO
Robin Stjernberg
Halo (Beyoncé) - 9/10 - I've never seen this before but Robin looks like a fatter Liini. Haha. With him one thing is certian, he'll always give us an outstanding performance! Even when his song choice sucks, his vocals will still manage to shone. This is no exception. One word: amazing!- VIDEO
Olle Hammar
Beat it (Michael Jackson) - 6/10
- He really can't pick a good song for himself! This does no favour to him, the akward dancing isn't helping either, it's still better than Emil's. Though it wasn't vocally bad, it looked cheap to me, a copycat, not really trying to make it his own. - VIDEO
Moa Lignell
Superstition (Stevie Wonder) - 7/10
- Well, Moa is slowly coming back! That was actually a lot better than some of her past performances and her voice sounded quite neat. Still think that her audition was her best moment, nothing can top that beautiful original but hopefully, with performances like this one, she'll stay long enough to release a full album of great tunes! - VIDEO
Results
Once more, the worst contestant, Liini is safe and we've got to say goodbye to Emil Elton, whose weird dance moves apparently disstracted the public enough from voting for him. He did have a great voice and tone but his performances didn't help him at all. On another note, I've read that there's no actual thing as the Bottom 2 this year, the last finalist to be called safe isn't necesarily the one who got the least amount of votes.

andre was sick, that's why per took his place.. and i agree with you about linni, she should be the next one to go..

Yes, Andre was throwing up just minutes before he went on stage. Last week it was Linni who was ill. I just can't understand why she is so popular, maybe the gay crowd supports her?

Oh ok, yeah, he did look really sick. And Lars, I bet that's why Linni is still there but I just don't get it, she's so bad!
