MDS MISSERS ARTIST THAT WEREN'T FEATURED WILL NOW BE IN NEW SECTION "INTRODUCING". I WENT ON HOLIDAYS AND COULDN'T FINISH THIS POST, THE VOTATION WON'T HAPPEN, SO SORRY!
We are using the same voting system as in the MDS Sound of 2011, only difference, 32 acts are featured in the "survey" and you have to choose the first 10 acts! 1st place will award 10 points, 2nd 9, 3rd 8, going on till the 10th which gives 1 point. Poll will be open till February 3. The poll has a limit of 100 answers, and if that limit is exceded, I'll create more. I'll change the link and let you know when that happens, cause it will, the last poll casted almost 400 votes! It may be a little uncomfortable to vote, you just have to move to the right.

New edition of the MDS Sound of 2011, this time featuring the acts that missed the previous list, either because I didn't know them at the time or because they were not my favourites. However, I'm launching this section to give them a chance, and even announce a second winner! Although that is still being decided ...This edition will go on for 17 days, 2 acts per day, being the last a "wildcard" day for all the acts left! So, hope you enjoy it!

Music Video: Lady Gaga: Born This Way

We all know Lady Gaga. We all know she's a freak. We all know she's wierd. And, cause we all know her, we don't need an introduction. Her third album, "Born This Way" will be released on May 23, 2011 while title track was released on February 11 with the music video premiering today. Well, the music video is no exception to the freakness. If you thought Alejandro was strange, this is certainly more. Counting the wierd face bones, the unicorn and the birth scenes, all you can think throughout the video is WTF! It's purely wierd! You can't imagine how rare is this video till you watch it! I must say I was dissapointed with this song, I don't think it's better to any of the songs of her previous album but what's good is the message, the song itself. So without any more chatter, just go and watch the video!

AI alumni, international star and multiple award winner, including a Grammy and an Oscar, J'Hud is preparing to release her highly annticipated sophomore album, "I Remember Me" set for release on March 22, after 3 years of the release of her successful debut. The first single, "Where You At" was released on January 24, with the music video premiering one month later. Any Jen fan will be over the moon with this album and if you aren't one of those people, you'll ultimately be too! Her voice sounds as amazing as always and the album promises to be a hit. The first single proves that, providing beautiful visuals and an amazing vocal performance. A Grammy deserving one. Expect Jen recieving one by next year!

The second semi-final is on and 8 more acts will fight for two places at the final or get a second chance in the "Andra Chancen" round. Who will be the ultimate winner? As you know, the channel eliminates all the advancing acts videos, so they will be posted until they are eliminated. You also have the VOTING NUMBERS to vote for your favourite act! The first number costs 3.60 kr and the second 9.90 kr., don't know why yet, if someone knows please tell me.

Probably my favourite artist at the moment, Miss Maguire continues to impress with her deep soulish voice and catchy melodies. For every fan, like me, February 28 feels better than my own birthaday, even bigger than Christmas! And if you feel like that too, you can now PRE-ORDER HER ALBUM!! The album date, tracklisting and name have been reveled a while ago but now we can delight our eyes with the beautiful album cover! It reminds me of an 80s Bond movie, mysteryous and an old sexy look, not in the age way but in her beauty. The bright red lips, the little red nail and the discrete title all make this album amazing! Surely it will gain Grammys and Brits, cause Claire is the next biggest artist, even if she didn't win the BBC poll! And also for your pleasure, I've posted two acoustic videos of album tracks, "This is Not the End" and "The Shield and the Sword", which is currently my favourite song of her!

Alex was first featured at the MDS Sound of 2011 as one of the most promising acts for this year (her post HERE) and now we have a brand new song and music video to love! The track serves as the opening tune and first single of Winston's new mini-album, "Sister Wife", produced by The Knocks which is set for release on February 14, 2011 digitally. The music video premiered on January 27, 2011. If you are a fan of Alex, you'll certainly love both the video and her quircky sillky voice. For newcomers, don't let this video turn Alex down, she's an amazing artist, but this video isn't the best for newsters, the low quality kind of ruins it. Besides that, it's amazing!

The first audition show had a good but not amazing 1.237.000 viewers which helped the show place #11, very low compared to last year's #2. I suppouse the audience will go up as the season progresses, maybe by the liveshows. I followed the latest season of Idol, so I thought it was about time I covered one of the biggest music festivals and indeed swedish biggest one, the Melodifestivalen! For newcomers, the show features several well known and not so known swedish singers who present a new song as the Eurovision entrey of the country, being the show's winner, the act participating in the Eurovision, all decided by public votes. And for Eurovision newcomers, the show, which has a long history, searchs for the best european song in general terms. Melodifestivalen semi-finals, all featuring 8 acts, will go on for 3 more weeks and then there will be a wildcard, formed by 3rd and 4th placers, and then the ultimate final, where the winner will be selected! As you know, the channel eliminates all the advancing acts videos, so they will be posted until they are eliminated.

Tonight the final 15 acts will be whittled down to just 9 in what promises to be the most exciting XF season ever! The talent poll is higher than ever and there's a strong posibility that an Over will win the show again with talented Patricia being now placed as a front runner. My Top 9 picks? Patricia, Maria/Mia and Annelouise for the Overs, Ericka, Sarah and Jean for the Unders and Michelle og Liva, Jakob og Rudi and DeeVibez for the Groups, but that could all change tonight! Performance is crucial and the contestants are certainly feeling the preassure! bong is back again, and will be throughout the season, to help me with this crucial night! ... The Boxettes aren't your typicall girlband. Despite their slutty look, no offence, but it's true, this 5 piece all girl band is probably the new face of pop. Formed by Alyusha, Yvette, Neo, Harriet and Bellatrix, who is the current beatbox champion, this girls have totally reworked the girlband stereotype. They don't seem to care about their look or how pretty they look on stage, they just focus on their singing and do an amazing job with that. The lead singer has an incredible voice and the other four provide an excellent beatbox background creating a never seen musical experience! If not the best girlband ever, they are certainly an amazing one!! Expect big things from this group!

Music Video: Lykke Li: I Follow Rivers

Swedish musician Lykke Li is getting ready to release her sophomore album, "Wounded Rhymes" in February 28, 2011, and we all know what else is happening that day. Two words: Clare Maguire. And now we are adding to that the excitement of the release of one of the wierdest musicians albums! Second single from the album, "I Follow Rivers" was released on January 21 and the music video premiered some days later. As you can expect it, the video is really wierd. She's kind of following a man in a snowy field barefoot wearing a black outfit, similar as the one in the album cover, and if not wierd, creepy. The truth is that the song is amazing, it features really catchy beats and it's exactly what I like!

Don't be scared by her look, her face is very much complete. Her nose isn't missing, nor her lips. It's just make-up. Probably you noticed that, unless you're really dumb. Morgan Kibby once a member of acclaimed M83, is now pursing a solo project, titled White Sea. And obviously, her look is mainly white and so is her music if you want to say it that way. She's a white musician. Smooth, sweet, relaxing and charming melodies. It almost seems like she's singing underwater and that's the main attraction in her! She has such a pleasant sound that's almost impossible not to fall in love with her!

One of BBC Sound of 2011 Top 15 acts, this blond seductive chick was love at first sight for me, well, love at first hear. And it was a sight thing too, after all, her beauty was what made me check her music. Her look is really unusual, sort of an european vampire whose been spending her last 50 years in a basement, yeah, I'm delusional, so I imagined her music was as unique as her look. And guess what? It is! Imagine a kidnapper with a voice changing gadget. Now imagine him singing. Now put that voice in a beautiful woman! Done!! You just created an Anna Calvi! And all that meant in a good way. Going serious, Anna's debut was released on January 17, 2011 and it has already gathred some amazing reviews. My opinion, Anna has created an ethereal collection of future classics that deliver an emotional message from beggining to end, the album is a 10 and everyone should buy it. Seriously.
