Louts was the first act eliminated from the competition, continuing the group curse (groups are always eliminated the first week). With the girls gone, we are now down to 8 acts, who will take on some awesome songs tonight. Will your fave make it to next week? ... It's time to face the music!

We waved goodbye to fan favourites Sarah and Emil last week with Blachman facing the toughest decision since eliminating Tandberg og Østenby, his own group, last season. Only 9 remain now, Anne's manufactured groups Wasteland, Anna og Lusanda and Lotus, Ida's Overs, Chresten, Jonas and Stephanie and Thomas' Unders, Karoline, Zaina and Amanda. The theme tonight is "Hope", whatever that could mean. But who'll be hopeless when we dim the lights? ... It's time to face the music!

The Voice Of Ireland: Season 2: The Blind Auditions!

The Voice Of Ireland is back! After a
good first series, the spinning chairs are back as are the err...
warring coaches, battle rounds and live shows. However, one person who
isn't back is Brian Kennedy who allegedly couldn't return due to
'scheduling issues'. Nothing to do with the fact that he was a little
bit of a rubbish coach then? On the bright side, UK R&B star
Jamelia is stepping into his shoes, providing a bit of eye candy for the
guys to balance Bressie who the female viewers are once again probably
going to go crazy for. And Kian and Sharon are back too, the former no
doubt to provide his own form of um...know it allness (is that a word)?
Nah, I reckon Series 2 may trump the pilot season so here's to more
talent, more spinning of chairs and more ridiculously overdramatic vocal
boxing matches!

Nouvelle Star 2013: Top 6 Perform

Timothée Rossignol left last week after yet another disappointing performance. Tonight, the remaining 6 contestants will sing two songs each, hoping to avoid getting the chop. fun.'s hit "We are Young" and Pink's "Raise Your Glass" were both covered, but were those efforts enough to avoid elimination?

My favourite stage of the competition has finally arrived, judges houses! The remaining 24 acts will be transported to fancy Danish manors in which they'll sing for a place in the liveshows. The judges will whittle them down to 5 first, then picking 3 final acts to take threw to the next stage of the competition. Will your fave make it? ... It's time to face the music!

Nouvelle Star 2013: Top 7 Perform

The first liveshow shocked us with the elimination of three contestants, all of them female. Léa, Adélaïde and Charlotte left the competition after the first two got cut by the judges and the latest got the axe when facing the public's decision. Just 7 remain now and by the end of the night, one more will be leaving. An interesting fact, someone dared to cover PSY's "Gangnam Style". But was it a worthy risk or did it lead to the contestant's elimination?

Nouvelle Star 2013: Top 10 Perform

Nouvelle Star, the French version of Idol, has been dead for almost 3 years, with the quirky, over the top Luce Brunet being it's last winner. Fortunately for fans of the show (including myself) D8 is bringing it back from the ashes for a 9th season, a move no one saw coming. André Manoukian returns as judge, with Olivier Bas, Maurane and Sinclair joining the panel. The liveshows have already began and thankfully, Flavien will be reviewing it for us, also translating the judges comments. So let's get started, shall we?

We witnessed another year of auditions and with them, a few new favourites emerged. Siblings Emil and Olivia, quirky Chresten, little Anna, handsome Rasmus. However, not everyone will survive bootcamp and by the end of the episode, we'll be left with 8 acts per category. Who'll be the standout tonight? ... It's time to face the music!

I've already reported that Cutfahter, Pernille and host Lise Rønne have all stepped down from the series, being Thomas Blachman the only member returning. Joining our resident mean judge are newcomers Anne Linnet and Ida Corr, both successful Danish singers. (Anne's son, Xander, was a judge on The Voice of Denmark's S2). Signe Molde is replacing Lise. Will this new trio step up to the challenge? Will Signe impress as host? And most importantly, who'll be Ida's successor? ... It's time to face the music!
