Music Video: Sys Bjerre: Alle Mine Veninder
06 July, 2010 8:07 PM
Danish star, Sys Bjerre, who has a record deal with Universal Music, had premiered this music video on YouTube on June 3, 2010. "Alle Mine Veninder" which means "All my Girlfriends" is an incredible example of the danish music scene. This song can't be really classified, as many of the danish songs. It has some indian beats, I almost feel a Bollywood movie vibe, it also has some hip-hop, some pop and some quirckiness. Though I don't understand anything that she is saying, only some english parts, I'm really digging her. I'd love to see some english tunes from her, to see what he can do with it. But I must say, I don't care if she keeps singing in danish. The music video is really fun to watch, it has a lot of extras who do some awesome moves and she is really adorable, isn't she?

Catching Up With: David Archuleta: New Single, Something 'Bout Love
7:35 PM
AI S7 runner-up is planning a fall release for his currently untitled sophomore album. The first single to be taken of it is "Something 'Bout Love", which will be released on July 13 on iTunes, but it has already been heard on radios since June 30. The song is good, I don't love it, but it's a fun pop song. I, however, like it more than his first album, which I think it was a bit childish, I mean, immature. His personality wasn't ready for an album, but I think it's now! I'm really waiting to see what he has for us.

Catching Up With: Kate Cook: First Single, Make You Stay, Music Video
05 July, 2010 4:16 PM
Country chick, Kate Cook, who was the 6th placer on the 7th season of Australian Idol, has recently released her first single and respectively music video for her original song, with which she auditioned for the show, "Make You Stay". The song was released to radios on February 1, 2010 and the music video premiered on March 28 on YouTube. I really didn't like her while she was on Idol, I think she was a country stereotype, you know, with the hat and the cowboy boots. But this song is incredible. She is so deep and it's such a sentimental song! I almost cried, almost. The ode to her mother, who commited suicide when she was 16, is a beautiful rendition and an exceptional performance by Kate. Really beautiful and true to her country persona.

Catching Up With: Kandy Rain: New Song: Radio
3:45 PM
Former X Factor S6 contestants and stripers, have released a new song via their YouTube channel. After being the first eliminated act, they vowed to stay together, and on January 15, they premiered "Radio". It's actually better than what I expected. I was waiting for a typical girl group much on the Girls Aloud vibe, but I'm actually really digging this song. The girls sound good and I almost feel the quirky Diana Vickers style. Good work!

Catching Up With: Stan Walker: New Singles + Second Album
2:12 AM
Australian Idol S7 champ is now about to release his second album, "From the Inside Out", which is expected for August 20, 2010. Teaming with Israel, Audius Mtawarira, Stuart Crichton and Ryan Tedder, the album will be no other thing than an absoulte hit.
Stan has released one single from the album, "Unbroken", and will release "Choose You" as the second on July 23. "Unbroken" was released on April 12 and serves as the lead single. It was written by Ryan Tedder and deals obviously about being unbroken.
I really liked this song. It's a very soulish and powerful Rn'B song, in the unique way only Stan can do it. I can also hear some Hip Hop tunes but in a small proportion. Talking about the music video now, I'm not so sure about it. Overall, it's awesome, but Stan's hair ... WTF? Fire the hairdresser now! Apart from that, perfect!

Sara Bareilles: King Of Anything Video Premiere
8:28 PM
Sara is getting ready to release her sophomore album "Kaleidoscope Heart" on September 7. Now with the track list released, the only thing left is releasing the album. The music video premiered on June 29, 2010. It was filmed in Vancouver, Canada, and features Sara singing in a number of different places. I'm in love with this video and with this song. Plus, her facial expressions are superb, she totally interprets the song through them! The music video is a masterpice, is beautifully filmed and edited, and I must confess that I'm finding Sara hot because of this, and who said she isn't?.

Currentyl working on his debut album expected for September-October, Olly bring us a brand new tune, which will also serve as his first single, set for an August 29 release. "Please Don't Let Me Go" is, as described by Olly, a summer song to sing with the car windows rolled down. And it certainly is. I can feel some reagee, some latin, a bit of pop, and an incredible catchiness. No more comparissons with Robbie, be sure of that Olly!.
