Elvis hair auctioned in 18300 DOLARS

A tuft of Elvis hair was auctioned last Sunday by an auction house in Chicago in 18300 dolars. The tuft of hair is believed to have been cut while Elvis was on militar service. This was one of the 200 articles owned by dead Gary Pepper, president of the Tankers Fan Club, founded by Elvis's fans. The auction maximum price was 62800 dolars for a cotton shirt with the slogan EP, it included a magazine which showed Elvis wearing the shirt. The auction house Leslie Hindman Auctioneers reported the results of the auction on their website. There haven't been ADN analysis on the hair but it was said that the buyer hired an expert in celebrity hair authentication, John Reznikoff who confirmed the hair is of Elvis.

The Puerto Rican singer René Pérez, who calls himself Residente, member of the duo of half brothers Calle 13 has offended various Latin American countries presidents during the Los Premios MTV Latinoamérica, held in Los Angeles. The most offending thing was that Residente wore a t-shirt which said 'Uribe paramilitar' and 'Bases'/Military bases , claiming that Uribe is part of the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia, commonly refered to as the guerrillas.
The colombian foreign minister said after the show: 'El mensaje presenta un contenido ofensivo y calumnioso en contra del presidente de los colombianos, lo cual constituye un agravio para su buen nombre e investidura y además es un irrespeto a la dignidad de nuestros connacionales'/The message presents an offensive and difamating content against the colombian president, which is an offense to his good name and it is also a disrespect to the dignity of our compatriots.
During the show he also attacked other presidents such as argentinian president Cristina Fernández Kirchner, who was said by Residente to leave botox, and also against venezuelan president Hugo Chavez who was nominated by his t-shirt as 'Chavez nominado a mejor artista Pop'/Chavez Nominated as Best Pop artist.
Trying not to exclude anyone he finally attacked his own president Luis Fortuño, who was that same day fighting against a strike against mass layoffs, saying this: 'Hoy los puertorriqueños marcharon contra el desempleo, porque el Gobernador de Puerto Rico los dejó sin trabajo y el gobernador de Puerto Rico es un hijo de la gran puta'/Today the Puerto Ricans march against unemployment, because the president of Puerto Rico leave them without job and the president of Puerto Rico is a son of a bitch.
Fortuño answered 'Este individuo le faltó el respeto a todas las mujeres puertorriqueñas, a todas las madres puertorriqueñas y al pueblo puertorriqueño en general'/This person disrespected all the Puerto Rican women, all the Puerto Rican mothers and the Puerto Rican people in general. The concert scheduled to be held in that city was canceled by obvious reasons.

Beyonce Delays Malaysia Concert

Beyonce has postponed a planned concert in Malaysia, the event's organizer said on October 19, following accusations by Islamic conservatives that the show would be immoral as she is worldwide known for her provocative clothes and choreography. She was scheduled to perform at a Kuala Lumpur stadium October 25. The show 'has been postponed to a future date to be announced shortly', Malaysian entertainment company Marctensia said in a statement. A Marctensia representative declined to say whether the decision was prompted by criticism from the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party, the country's largest opposition group, which has called for the show to be scrapped because it would promote 'Western sexy performances'. Beyonce had previously canceled a concert in Malaysia in 2007.

Face Drop (Remix) - Sean Kingston
Face Drop is the second single from his second studio album Tomorrow, it was released to radio stations on August 18, 2009 and released digitally on iTunes on September 1, 2009. This remix features Pleasure P. I have had this song stuck in my head since I first heard it, so I wanted to post it. Although I can't stand him repeating his name throughout the song, it's a good example of reggae fusion, with well written lyrics. Not a five stars but maybe a four and a half.
Lindsay Lohan damages a cake?

The New York Post published yesterday that Lindsay Lohan had damaged a cake while on the Victoria's Secret Beauty Velvet fragrance launch, but not by eating it. Apparently Lohan mistook the cake baked in the shape of a giant perfume bottle for the real perfume, and put her hand out to lean on it. An onlooker at the Lexington Avenue store said, 'She accidentally poked a hole right in the middle of it'. How did she confused a cake with a perfume? Was she high? Or drunk? Or the baker was a really good one?.
Madonna sued

The diva has been sued by her Central Park West upstairs neighbour Karen George because her apartament has been transformed into a disruptive studio. According to the lawsuit against the building board obtained by the New York Post, 'Madonna and one or more of her invited guests repeatedly dance and train . . . to unreasonably high-decibel, amplified music, causing noise and vibration to pour through the walls, ceilings and radiators'. 'Ms. George has been forced to endure blaring music, stomping and shaking walls for approximately one and a half to three hours each day'.
Dickie Peterson dies at 63

Bassist and lead singer of the power trio Blue Cheer. He died on October 12 at 63 in Erkelenz, Germany, where he lived, after fighting with liver and prostate cancer spread throughout his body.
The band rose to prominence in 1968 with a memorable cover of the rock classic 'Summertime Blues' and continued to perform until last year, being several times on hiatus. Taking its name from a potent strain of LSD, Blue Cheer began as a six-piece band in 1966 and downsized a year later to a trio consisting of Peterson on bass and vocals, Leigh Stephens on guitar and Paul Whaley on drums. After Peterson's death, MacDonald said, 'Blue Cheer is done. Out of respect for Dickie, Blue Cheer would never become a viable touring band again'.

The second single taken from her fifth studio album, Funhouse. It was written by Nate "Danja" Hills, Kara DioGuardi, 333 Productions, Marcella Araica and Pink herself. Pink wrote this song at a party hosted at her home, where everyone was drunk or drinking except for her, and she wanted them all to leave. She went to the beach and had a line in her head saying 'How do I feel so good sober?'. Eventually it had nothing to do with alcohol but with identities. 'How do I feel so good with just me, without anyone to lean on?', Pink says in an interview. She also stated that the song was one of the darkest she wrote for the album. 'Sober is a dark, kind of sad song. And it's about the vices that we choose and I had this idea in my head, 'Like how do I feel this good sober?...I don't know it's just a really, really personal beautiful song, one of my favorites…'. The song is a massive rock song, I would say one of Pink's best songs. The lyrics are so meaningful and her voice is better than we are accustomed to.
Overcome - Alexandra Burke

Alexandra's debut album, Overcome, would be released on October 19, 2009. The first single 'Bad Boys' is a duet with Flo Rida. The album lands on the R&B genere with great vocals from Alexandra, this is definitly a must-have album. It has amazing songs such as 'Overcome', 'Good Night Good Morning', 'Broken Heels', etc.

Lindsay Lohan's probation period extended

Lohan was ordered to appear in court after probation officials said she had missed some alcohol education classes because she was shotting a movie in other state. Lohan was arrested for driving under the influence in May 2007 and two months later was arrested again, this time for drink driving and cocaine possession. She was told to complete an 18-month alcohol awareness programme in August 2007 after being convicted. The veredict was she will be on probation for another year.
