We lost 16 contestants last week (Omri Tindal, Niña van Dijk, Nicola Ebbink, Marx Margono, Katty Heath, Sifra Geessink, Patt Riley, Denzel Dongen, Randy Soewarno, David Gonçalves, Mathijs Rumping, Janine Heines, Ron Link, Velorisa Yorks, Jared Hiwat and Pomme van de Ven) and we were left with 16 more. I've named all the eliminated contestants cause chances are that you've already forgotten most of them. This week, 4 more will be leaving us, resulting in a Top 12, a more manageable number of finalists. Who'll be facing the axe tonight? ... This is The Voice!

In a shocking result, Malcom Brandin left the competition when finding himself in the B2 against JEM, and the judges deciding to save the manufactured group over the rapper. Tonight, for the first time this season, the 4 remaining finalists will perform 2 songs, one they previously performed and a new one. Who'll leave us only one week before the final? ... It's time to face the music!

Remember Line? Of course you do! She was Ida's runner up on XF Denmark last season and soon after the show came to an end, her winner's single, the wonderful "Efter Dig", was released via Sony Denmark, doing impressively well on the singles charts. Now, over a year after her XF run, her highly anticipated post-XF single is seeing the light of day. "Os To", which was produced by The Providers, the same team behind most of Medina's material, was released on November 19, and it seems Line is staying put in the dance genre, which I'm extremely glad because this girl is Medina 2.0, something I've been saying since her time on the XF. This song is golden, even better than her winner's single indeed and her voice works fantastically with this. Give her some time and she'll be something big. ... Is this the type of song you were expecting? Do you think Line can be as big as Medina?

Despite only placing 4th on the XF Au's latest season, which was won by Samantha Jade, the once front runner was signed by Sony Australia and a debut single will be soon hitting the stores. The enchanting singer, who cites Lykke Li and Bon Iver as her influences, will be releasing "Set Me On Fire" on December 14, 2012 with her debut album scheduled for 2013. The song, written by Australian Idol S7 runner-up Hayley Warner and songwriter/producer Louis Schoorl, captures all the beauty of Bella's voice creating a very Birdy sounding tune. I bet the full version sounds even better, December 14 can't come soon enough for me ... What do you think of Bella's first effort? Hit or miss? Are there any other finalists you'd like new music from?

Some countries have already crowned the winner (I spot Samantha Jade's face up at the blog's header) but
we are only half way of choosing it. I wish we had the rankings like in the US
version to know who is number 1 right now. Is it
almost-as-good-as-a-professional Julia, stone-cold beauty Aida,
experienced Yakov, shy rocker Alexey, actor-singer Eugeni or charismatic
Dmytry? At least I know it's not dynamic trio D-version, but they still
are my own number one two weeks in a row. Will they be as good tonight
or is this their time to go? ... It's time to face the music!

We said goodbye to Alexander Holmgren when he unexpectedly found himself against favourite Isak in the B2. That's a major wake up call for the young chap, he needs to step it up even more if he still plans taking this. Only 5 remain now and the stakes are higher than ever. Who'll leave us just two weeks before the grand final? ... It's time to face the music!

X Factor UK 2012: Top 4 Perform: The Semi-Final!

We lost Rylan last week which was probably a bit of a loss entertainment wise for the show but let's be honest, on a talent basis he did sort of overstay his welcome. I quite enjoyed his performances but I'm glad that we have a final four with three acts who have at least a decent amount of talent, even Chris who is the weakest in my opinion can sing. As only three can make the final, which of the four will miss out? It's Time To Face The Music!

Christoffer Stjerne, Louise Schouw, Kamille B. Schjøter and Johannes Hubertz all left the competition during last week's semi-final. Only four remain now and by the end of the night, we'll find out who'll be Kim Wagner's successor. Will it be pop singer Christian? Jazzy Dianna? Soulful Emilie? Or unexpected Andreas? ... This is The Voice!
