Introducing: Ed Sheeran

Having totally ruined my plans of including him in the MDS Sound of 2012 when he released his debut album, +, and topped the british charts, I think it was about time I introduced the coolest ginger alive, Ed Sheeran, to you, if there's something at all to introduce. The first glimpse of his talent came in June when his signature song, "The A Team", was released much to critical acclaim and chart success, earning Ed his first #3 song. You may think Ed success was a huge surprise, right? Well, he has been around since 2005, with his first release The Orange Room EP and several EPs following in 2009 and 2010 which started to chart at the bottom of the top 200. Now signed to Asylum and Atlantic Records, Ed is finally getting the recognition he deserves and is now one of the UK's finest. With his totally unique style, his music sails through folk, hip hop and even some reggae, all making for a wonderful listening experience full of emotion. Just take for example the wonderful raping piece "You Need Me, I Don't Need You" or the hearfelt "Give Me Love" and you'll love him for life, like I certainly do now.

Now, only 10 contestants remain and they'll be tackling sweden's biggest hits hoping they'll still be here next week. Will someone wow with Veronica Maggio? Will someone ruin a swedes fave? ...

The auditions are over and now it's time for our Top 40 semi finalists to take the stage and prove what they are made of. In the next five weeks, the Top 40 will be devided in 5 semis of 8 contestants each where only two will advance to the Top 10. It's definitely a very difficult challenge. Who will be the lucky pair tonight?

As you all know by now, I personally found the auditions to be long and painful. But out of it, we did get some really good contestants with loads of potential. We now enter Bootcamp, where 162 acts will be whittled down to 32 that advance to the Judges Houses. Will your favorite contestant make the cut or crumble to the pressure? And who will win a recording contract with Epic Records worth 5 million dollars? ... It's time to face the music!

It's finally here! The night everyone is been waiting for, the night the UK's been anxiously waiting to arrive is here. We say goodbye to JH with favourites Jade Richards and Joe Cox leaving us on that stage. Tonight, the top 16 will sing their hearts out hoping to be one of the 12 lucky hopefuls who will be here next week. Oh yeah, there's a huge twist tonight! ... It's time to face the music!

Last week it was Tyla Bertolli's turn to say goodbye when she found herself in the Bottom 2 alongside Jacqui Newland, who was once more saved by the judges, this time by Mel, who decided to eliminate her own act for the competition. The final 10 will now be singing "rock" songs, which are actually not rock enough, but well, the theme is supposed to be rock. Who will nail it tonight? ... It's time to face the music!
