Finally!!! The Top 13 were announced in a shocking reveal last night and tonight, the Top 13, that is, the Top 10 plus the 3 wildcards will be performing songs by their personal idols, all of them being teamed with all star producers such as Don Was, Jimmy Iovine, Jim Jonsin and the Rock Mafia duo. It promises to be an exciting night!! ... This is American Idol!

The latest and 7th XF season was surely amazing! And controversial! FYD's drag pics, Gamu's axe and deportation reports, Katie Waissel's constant appearence on the papers, them not being nice with her at all and constant, and classical, rumours of result fixing. And all that if we count out Cheryl Cole's dramas, her divorce and malaria. One thing is sure, the talent pool was bigger than ever and this will probably be one of the most successful XF seasons!

This time I'm not recapping the XF bootcamp. Instead, I'm posting a list of the last 34 remaining acts and adding links to their performances. As many contestants were posted in the same video, I'll list the singers and then add the link. So for now, just watching it and waiting till our 12 finalists are announced next week!!!! I'm also making my Top 12 predictions so check for that!!!!

Catching Up With: Sky Ferreira: As If!, Debut EP!

We all remember Sky Ferreira from the MDS Sound of 2011 (HERE) and since we love her here, what a better way of showing our love by featuring her music?! Sky released several singles in the past, neither of them making a big impact in the charts. On March 1 she released the single "Sex Rule", third of her album. Following this, an EP titled "As If!" is set to be released on March 22, 2011 by Capitol Records, and we all know it'll be a success! The song doesn't have a deep message but it has a great one! It's catchy and funny! This may be the coolest lyric video I've ever seen, seriously, it's amazingly fun! If you aren't a fan, the video in it's own is incredible!

It's Rock night and the 6 remaining contestants will fight for your votes to stay in the competition singing a rock hit! bong is back again, and will be throughout the season! Will Pernille's last act manage to remain in the competition? Will Cutfather finally lose one of his acts? Or will it be one of the two remaining overs? ... It's time to face the music!

This is it!!! The second semi-final is here! 12 girls will fight for a place in the Top 13 and be closer to the ultimate prize, a record deal! They'll leave all on stage to impress the viewers enough to secure them a spot, who will crumble on stage? who will impress? ... This is American Idol!

Neon Hitch is no new face here. She was first featured in the MDS Sound of 2011 (HERE) and despite not earning a top place, she gained some fans! Hitch is now back with her first single and music video, "Get Over U", released February 21. It's a catchy pop song which show Neon's gypsiness in all it's greatness! Wanna know how a gyspy lives, watch this music video! Her voice is amazing and the video visuals are as good, providing us incrediblly sexy shots of Neon!

When talking about Selah Sue you could classify her in may ways. Some would say she's a jazzy belgian girl. Others will call her a quircky white girl. But some will say that she's got a jamaican soul. And you would wonder why as I did the first time I saw that. But then, you'll hear Selah and all those descriptions will make lots of sense! The fact is that classyfing her is so difficult that there's no a single one. Probably it would be more accurate to call her unique. And Selah is really unique. Her voice, tone and phrasing are something that you won't find in every singer and that's what's great about her. You know that you'll hear something completely different! Most recently appearing in the biggest belgian music festivals and dueting with Cee Lo on his song "Please", Selah is guaranteed to be a success both in Belgium and the States when she releases her debut on March 7th!!! Yes, you've heard it right, March 7, 6 days from now and a day after my birthday! I know what I'm asking for it now!

Catching Up With: In-Joy: First Single, B.O.O.M.

Many of you probably won't remember danish boyband In-Joy, from last year's danish XF. They were the 8th finalists and originally a 4th pice band, which was created by Soulshock on Bootcamp, and now they are a trio, Essi, Kevin and Jannick. The track, which will be their first single produced by their mentor, is a The Wanted-ish urban pop song with a catchy clapping beat and a good chorus. If you were a fan of them throughout the show, you'll like this, cause it's exactly what you could expect from them. And if you are looking for some good vocals, you should maybe check another artist.
