Once again, through an unfortunate series of events, I was unable to publish my Top 9 power ranking on time but since I had the draft ready, we shall publish it anyway. There was a decent amount of moving and shaking in this week's ranking. Did your favorite's rank go up? Keep reading! Now onto the Top 9 rankings...
After last week's elimination of Florida teen Shannon Magrane, our Top 10 move forward to tackle the songbook of Billy Joel and mentoring from Diddy and fashion advice from Tommy Hilfiger. Being a fan of Joel's, I was really happy to hear of this week's theme. It'll be interesting to see how the contestants can make these songs their own, especially the younger ones. Anyway, let's move on to the performances and results. This... Is American Idol!

We lost 8 contestants in the last two weeks, Freja Blomberg, Christian Hedgren, Adrian Modiggård, Saga Björling, Daniella Hernandez, Mikaela Samuelsson, Edvard Bisof and Marcus Sennewald. Most of them had a lot of potential, even more than some of the contestants that stayed but unfortunately, Swedish public doesn't always vote only on talent. One more act from each team will be saying goodbye tonight. Who'll have what it takes to advance? ... This is The Voice!
XF Netherlands 2011 winner, and very possible the final one (that is if XF doesn't come back in spring 2013 as it's stated to), is finally unveiling her debut album, out today, March 30. I've always said that Rochelle sounded like Jessie J during her XF run but in her debut record, "You vs Me", the girl totally unleashes the innner Jessie she always had, specially on first album single, "What a Life", which sounds like something the own "Price Tag" hitmaker would perform. The album's title track isn't exactly showing all the swagger Rochelle has, instead, it shows the Jordin Sparks wannabe she first showed in her debut single, "No Air", an ok effort, just not good enough. Thankfully, the album tracks are more Jessie than Jordin, a relief if you ask me, cause honestly, the whole album sounds quite fantastic, so go get your copy now!

Fan fave Haley Reinhart is debuting her first music video! The growl goddess first single is titled "Free" and was released on March 20, 2012 via Interscope, the label she was signed soon after placing third on S10 of Idol. The song serves as the lead single of her debut album, "Listen Up!", which is due out May 22. Haley's jazzy tone is in full display during the 4 minutes the video lasts and also her signature hair and legs. Despite it was written by Lucie Silvas and busbee, it seems Haley wrote it herself, her connection with the song is amazing and the fact that her first single is this strong only points that the album will be equally good!

So after the third live show, we have now established that the voting
public's ability to choose the right contestant to go is so inaccurate,
it's almost ridiculous. I'm still not quite sure how Claire went last
week especially after the bizarre Lady Gaga song choice for Alan in Team
Brian. Hopefully with Kian and Sharon, things will be better but with
one of my favourites, Fauve Chapman going in Live Show 2, I'm seriously
hoping that we don't have another bad bottom two for each team. Only
time will tell.

We lost Morten Benjamin last week, cause an all Unders final was too good to be true. Thankfully, my two girls remain and they'll battle against Sveinur in the hopes of becoming the winner. By the end of the night, one of Line, Ida or Sveinur will be taking the crown but that's not before they duet with Denmark's biggest artists, Oh Land, Alphabeat and Lukas Graham, plus a special Medina performance. Who'll be the winner tonight?! ... It's time to face the music!

Two months after winning the second season of The Voice of Holland, Iris Kroes is releasing her debut single with 8ball Music, "Just More", which is a cover of deutsch pop band Wonderwall, now disbanded. The single was released on March 10, and despite the little promotion it recived, it managed to climb to the 35th position of the top 100. Previous winner Ben Saunder's singles didn't cope well with the charts either but his debut album got a lot of praise, so this low position for Iris doesn't worry me and it does even less considering how much I like the single. Although there are many similarities with the original, Iris's signature harp and soft vocals totally sold it for me, even when it's a cover, which is a huge no in my debut single guidebook.

After last week's shocking episode, in which Nicoline Simone & Jean Michel had to withdrew from the competition when Jean Michel decided to take another opportunity, the remaining 4 contestants will be singing once more in the hopes of making it to next week's final. No act was eliminated last week, so the previous votes will be added to tonight's. Who will face the axe tonight? Folk cutness Ida, unique voiced Morten Benjamin, pop diva Line or rocker Sveinur? ... It's time to face the music!

Another country is joining The Voice franchise. TV2 decided to bring back Idol Norge earlier this year and now, they are premiering a new series. The coaches are: Hanne Sørvaag, singer-songwriter with a lot of successful singles who took part at last year's Melodi Gran Prix; Magne Furuholmen, former member of the Norwegian band A-ha who has also became a renowned painter in recent years; Sondre Lerche, singer, guitarist and songwriter; and finally Yosef Wolde-Mariam, half part of the Norwegian band Madcom. In the following weeks, this four musicians will audition hopefuls and then we'll move on to the battles ... This is The Voice!

With Tandberg & Østenby leaving after ending in the bottom with Morten Benjamin, and the shocking decision of Blachman of sending his own act home, the 5 remaining contestants will be singing Rasums Seebach's songs tonight. But that's not all, one act will be leaving the competition without even singing tonight, scared for your fave? ... It's time to face the music!

After performing the well-received theme of Stevie and Whitney songs, the Top 12 move forward taking on song from the year they were born. Rapper Will.I.Am will be our guest mentor this week, the Judges Save is back and in a shocking twist, one of the Top 12 is disqualified from the competition. The remaining 11 will sing for a slot in the Top 10 and on the American Idol summer tour. Will the save be used like this time last year? This... Is American Idol!

After last week's brutal cuts, the Top 13 advance to this next round. Where the girls will sing Whitney Houston songs and the guys will perform Stevie Wonder songs. Jimmy Iovine will mentor the contestants from here forward with help this week from Mary J. Blige. And for this week only, the guy and girl with the least amount of votes will be at risk for elimination and the Judges panel will decide which one to save. Will your favorite be at risk? After the not so shocking exits of Ryan and Gavin two weeks ago, Bressie and Brian's teams of each are now readying themselves for another performance infront of the live audience at The Helix as they try desperately to get through to yet another week of the competition. Standouts from the last Bressie/Brian performances were Claire and Kiera/Connor for Teams Brian and Bressie respectively so let's hope those three and the rest of the acts can keep up that high standard for tonight's performances.

After Bressie and Brian's team stepped up last week with some of them namely Conor, Kiera and Claire in particular delivering show stopping performances, it's over to Kian and Sharon to impress as their teams perform in front of the live audience at The Helix. And considering that I more or less disagreed with every decision Kian made in the Battle Rounds but finally agreed with him partially last week, it will be interesting to see how he is with his own team. Some of my favourites performing tonight are Fauve, Elliot and Kellie. So, the question that remains to be seen is who will perform and what will they perform? Oh and will they pull it off? We'll have to wait and see!

After watching the Boys perform, I gotta say, that was fairly disappointing for a first live show. Next up is the girls and hopefully they are better. After they perform, America will vote again and decide who makes it into the Top 5 of each gender, creating a Top 10. The Judges will then pick 6 contestants to sing once more in hopes of being one of 3 Wildcard choices picked by the panel to round out Season 11's Top 13. Who survived the dramatic cut? Who got a second chance? This... Is American Idol!

Mulila was cut when she found herself in the B2 with Tandberg og Østenby. Tonight, we've got one of the most weird, yet incrediblly interesting themes in a while, Mash Up, courtesy of Cutfather, who suggested the theme (each judge suggested one and then the public voted for their fave). So after 3 weeks of Battle Rounds, we finally arrive at the live shows, the stage that finally allows the public to decide the fate of the contestants. And already we have lost some of the early favourites namely Onya Grey, Christina Foran and Siobhan McKenna to name but some. However, still remaining are some incredible talents including Sinead Fox, Kellie Blaise, Elliot Canavan-Doyle, Conor Quinn and Fauve Chapman and that's just the start of it! So now that the public are involved, let's hope that the talent survives and the judges', at times bizarre decisions don't lead to the departure of some of the show's most talented! Tonight, Brian and Bressie's acts will both be performing, will it be alright on the night?

Finally, we have our Top 24! I must say, I really like the people that made it. It's a diverse group with many different characters. It is now time for the Top 24 to perform for America's votes. 5 guys and 5 girls will be voted through and 3 more contestants will be chosen as wildcards to round out a Top 13. Tonight, we start with the 12 guys. Who will become a contender? Who is the mystery contestant? And who will be given a second chance? This... Is American Idol!

Now that Idol is gone, TV4 has decided to debut two new singing competitions, The Voice Sverige and the first Swedish version of The X Factor, which will premiere later in the year (and we'll be following it). Hosted by Carina Berg The Voice coaches are rapper Petter, 1991 Eurovision winner Carola Häggkvist, The Ark frontman Ola Salo and singer Magnus Uggla. I must admit I've not really been following this show like I did with Idol Sweden. I did watch some auditions and battles but I didn't found it as engaging as Idol. Still, I'm hoping that will change with the liveshows! Also worth noting, this will be the first time I'll see some of this contestants sing. Our Swedish quirky goddess is back with not one but two new music videos. "Sever" which premiered on February 14 and "Drops" which premired on February 28. I'm really liking this new stuff! Her previous material wasn't listenable enough, they were amazing videos but not amazing songs to play on the radio, however, this two new singles depart from the previous trend and are wonderfull iPod material, not radio cause they are obviously not commercial enough but it should make an enjoyable listen on your iPod. Love the mop monster by the way!
