I'm talking about songs like "Even If" (2008), "Ooh Ah Just a Little Bit" (1996), "Come Back" (2002), "Teenage Life" (2006), My Time (2009 - now that was a proper song!). Personally, I believe that Jedward will make a lasting impact on Europe (even though they can't sing), because let's face it, their song is rather catchy (better than "They Can't Stop the Spring" from 2007, and don't get me started on our own "That Sounds Good" to me from last year) and they have a strong European look which girls will love.

Yes, their vocal ability may be limited, and if they may attempt to be funny in their typical, slapstick style, it's part of their appeal, after all, it worked for Bucks Fizz years ago. My point is that sometimes the expects predictions are wrong (In 2003, everyone expected TATU to win, but they came third instead, and let's not forget that Russian guy with the rubbish Timberland-produced song who claimed victory simply because he had a ice-skater on stage).

Watch the show this weekend - I'm going to find it confusing because I'm currently reviewing Britain's Got Talent which will be shown at the same time - you might be (un)pleasantly surprised. If the Jeds fail to win for Ireland - and it will be a shame because theirs is the country that produced Johnny Logan and Dana (not to be confused with Dana International) - they can leave the music industry forever (did I hear you cheer?) and annoy you even further by being regular fixtures on your box, a.k.a television presenters, ha ha!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10545328299235559311noreply@blogger.com
